    Porsche 935 K2

My Porsche collection continues to grow.
I recently bought the Beemax 935 K2 sponsored by Ricoh (who are Ricoh? no idea...) but I didn't like the colour scheme.
I've been watching some very informative videos on You Tube recently about the racing 935's and their derivatives and was taken by the car driven by Paul Newman, Rolf Stomellen and Dick Barbour in which they won their class and came second overall in 1979's Le Mans 24 hrs.
So I got a set of the correct decals from www.lemansdecals.com and went to work.
The kit itself is pretty good although the supplied window masks let me down by bleeding paint under the edges (Probably user error..) so I have tried to cover this up by making the black edges a bit thicker with a paint pen.
The decals them selves were pretty good but I quickly learnt that they need hardly any time in warm water before they start falling off the backing so I had to adjust my timing accordingly.
    Anyway, I enjoyed it.

Lovely, especially like the wheels and excellent paint finish.

Thanks Stefee. I have to admit the paint job was done just using Tamiya Italian Red from a spray can, two light coats, but I find one of the most important factors in getting a good finish using the spray cans, apart from shaking them forever, is to sit them in hot water for 5-10 minutes before using them . Can't remember where I heard this first, but it certainly seems to make the paint flow and settle better.
Also I was watching a video on You Tube of a report from a Japanese Hobby Trade Show last night (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TURKLp2_F1I&t=529s) and I see Beemax are bringing out their own version of the same car.
      What a cheek!
      They're obviously copying me...
