If U have rain and i mean rain not those silly one minute showers we need it and real bad they say we have had a decent rain here in South Australia for at least 2 years I recond it's longer as I can't remember when the last time it rained for more than 2 minutes and the fall reading was more than 5mm we need atleast 20mm and for a week at least to wash away the heat and the dryness and get our gardens going again, they say that half of Adelaide's gardens are now dead and we are a city of brown no wonder they call us a backwater or a hopeless basket case no one can do anything about water just argue as to who owns it when it flows nto the poor old Murray/Darling River System. Here's somehting else a man was saying on the radio the other day that all the irrigation channels on the Hay plains are full and overflowing and that they have lazer leveled the area ready for flood irrigation that can only mean one thing more rice paddocks going in and in a country so dry as Australia who would figure that hey. Well that's my bleat for now PLEASE send soem rain our way South Australia needs it.
