the 1:35 acadamy tiger I posted pics of in my introduction is finally done and finished,although i'll have to post some pics at weekend as i've no new batteries for my camera.
really enjoyed it although i can obviously see where i could have done better.infact i enjoyed it so much i've been looking through my sons leftover kits for a new project.
the one i've chosen is a monogram 1:426 scale uss arizona,which is new and unmolested.
the kit itself looks very dated i.e. sort of 1970's type build plans and the sprues are full of flash and sink marks,which would indicate to me that the kit has had a massive production run and the tooling is shall we say well past its best.
looking through the plans i can't see the colour of the main hull, it lists the lower part as flat red with a narrow flat black band just above but i can't for the life of me see the upper colour.can anyone please advise?
