    Vintage Paasche and Binks airbrushes

About a week-end ago, I went out to dinner and a magic-show with a lady-friend, and we browsed the local shop windows in between; in an establishment named "Vintage Antiques" I spotted these old and dusty airbrushes, which turned out to be a Paasche "Type H" and a Binks Wren model A. I went back a few days later and bought them, just because they were old and "looked cool!"

    Closing in:

A better view of the Paasche 'H':

Original Paasche 3oz. bottle with the name molded in:

The Wren came with this interesting canned-air valve; it has the genuine 1/4 NPSM output with 60deg. Industrial Standard bevel, and 1/4 NPSM Female-swivel end with matching bevel on the air-hose:

A good cleanup (the needles were gunked-up pretty-good) and they both work, though the Binks has the wrong 'C' (large) needle/tip combo for an 'A' model Wren. I do like the feel of the Wren button, but I probably won't actually use it. I probably will use the Paasche 'H', though, in addition to my newly acquired Thayer & Chandler VEGA 600.

Not a bad haul for $50.00 US!

    Regards, John
