I wouldn't have said I lusted after one, however Suzi Quattro is a completely different matter ... !

Nice start Stefan, that's a proper motor.

On the subject of engines, I got to hear a McLaren MP4-22 V10 (the 2007 car) start up at the Silverstone F1 last year. What a sound. Unfortunately didn't get to see it run as it was pouring down with rain.

The best car sound I ever heard was at the Festival of Speed (Goodwood) few years ago, a 1967 Lotus F1 car (not sure if it was Jim Clarkes or Graham Hills), revved a few times and roared off the start line, made your ears bleed but was bloody awesome!

Got the red on now wait for it to cure before placing some potentially fiddly stripe and badge decals and then clearcoat.
      Filled the open seat backs.

Why oh why do Tamiya insist on placing the ejector pin posts in the middle of the coil springs on every kit of theirs I've done?

Click image for larger version Name:	20251106_155458.jpg Views:	0 Size:	233.8 KB ID:	1269834 Interestingly and very unusually the front suspension subframe is a mirror image of the rear.

Lovely red. You did well with those springs - clean up must have taken an age.

              Quick update.
Placed the (very fiddly pinstripe) decals and clearcoated with Tamiya X22. Strangely the destructions suggest silver stripes and badges with a red vehicle but my friends 1:1 had black so thats what I did.
Started to detail the engine bay plate.

Considering alot of the detail is moulded into the floorpan it is well rendered. The underbody is now complete along with my now trademark OTT exhaust treatment and Bilstein struts.
Wheels were left as supplied with some black wash added, tyres sanded and pins painted ready for installation tomorrow.

Engine bay plate finished, again lots of moulded detail. No extras added apart from some generic decals.
Brake discs glued to rims therefore not calipers, alloys fitted and all 4 on the ground yippee.

Lights painted, the tiny front bumper marker lights were a challenge. Dash and interior ready for assembly into " carpeted" interior.

Nice, looking good. Is that some sort of "flock" coating on the interna floor, to simulate carpet? Cheers
