Apologies for the poor pics - I'm clearly no photographer!

Briefly:

There are two full colour pages showing the four schemes available. Colour call outs are for Ammo Mig paints.

The instructions are two separate booklets with good clear pictures.

The parts themselves look good with plenty of detail although I saw some small amounts of flash here and there.

The PE seems to be made from copper (?) and is very thin.

For some obscure reason, one of my pics was too large so I've re-done it in two parts

My haul from the winter Fayre at Coventry (Midland Air Museum) today:

Picture 1 shows why I haven't had much chance to do any modelling recently. That was about a minute after I brought the boxes in from the car and stacked them neatly in the corner ......

Reasonable prices for all, but I thought the taxi for £10 and the 1/24 190 for £35 were pretty good.
very nice haul,Dave, but the two muggy win me,

Too cute. :)

What is it with cats and boxes? We got the Christmas tree stuff out yesterday and the cats are into the boxes before you could say anything.

Ain't that the truth. We put our tree up at the weekend. I left the tree box leaning up against the wall, within seconds one of the cats was in the bottom and clawed her way up to the top and got stuck! :D

In preparation for the Schwerer Gustav diorama I've ticked a few more items off the list.

TheHobby Boss Dora kit came with a dual straight track but in reality they always used curved tracks because that was the only way they could aim the gun and I want to reflect that fact in my diorama.
They only used diesel-electric trains to move the Schwerer Gustav and Dora because of the smoke of the coal fired trains let out - which would've given them away long before they could fire the first shot ;)

I was also going to include an armoured train with a flakwagen in the diorama but I think it's going to be enough with the main railway gun and the supporting armour and the bucketload of figures...
It's enough for now anyway. Also these little 1/72 trains and carts are much more expensive than I thought and that's also a factor.

Anyhow, my fingers are itching to start but I've so far resisted. I need to setup a new building area anyway, and design the layout of the diorama. I've also got a lot of Christmas things to do so this'll have to wait a bit longer.

I've got the same kit of the Dora and I also bought the same set of curved tracks for the same reason as you did Jens but -

I expect you've already thought of this, but won't the radius of one of the track sets need to be changed?

well as you know i do like my zombies, and buying them can get very costly,:tired:
but found these one,s which will work for me,there meant to be 2inch,but a bit shy of that, one good thing is
there a hard plastic,so can be reworked, and easier to paint ,
12 for $7.oo is good as well,:thumb2:

I haven't received mine yet so I can't check but I was hoping to find two "sweet-spots" where it would work, otherwise I'll have to make a jig and bring out the hot air gun and reshape one of the bends...
I hope I don't have to because it might distort some details but I will cover the tracks with fine sand so I can cover some minor stuff.

If this fails I'm sure I can fabricobble scratch built tracks but it'll add more than a few hours to the already a bit scary build, but if that's what it takes then that's what it takes!

Whoever gets there first will have to write about it!!!
