I've finally made a start.
I designed and built a bridge out of cheapo foam board. Now I've completed it, I've come to the conclusion it's too arty farty and at 1/35 way too big. The finished dio. would have to be something like 18" square, so......

I've scrapped it and am going for 1/72 which will give me a base of
