What happend to the airfix 1:72 Willys jeep for sale for a £10 ish? (built)

I just thought it was odd, £10 or whatever the cost was (with P&P) for a made/completed model, and IMHO not a very well made one! And the kit can be bought new for about £7, so?

    Taimya German Pak40/L46 Anti-Tank gun n figures.

More progress, all built up now and started priming bits up, did do some minor filling but not much required TBH. Accessories added to the figures, bread bags, gas masks, water bottles, bayonets, pistols, etc

    Peter's German Half Track - 1:48 - Mtl.SPW.Sd.Kfz 251/1 Ausf.D

A couple of the extra figures I now have to hopefully enhance the little dio I will be doing with this build. I have a couple more on order, but they have not arrived yet, plus there are two figures with the original Tamiya kit, so I will have a few to choose from....

    Taimya German Pak40/L46 Anti-Tank gun n figures.

Wanted a quick build before the main upcoming GB starts, so went for a nice easy, smallish Tamiya German Pak40/L46 anti tank gun with figures. Not going to go to town with this one, will be a simple, fast build, just to gimme summit to do. It will be painted but will be pretty much basic out of...

Found this link, YT, some great models on show....

Oh yes, I'm carrying on, absolutely! I accepted long ago that I will never be a master of scale modelling, but despite that I am happy to keep learning, and to keep building, as its a hobby that I enjoy a lot. ;)(y)

Choosing a kit from your childhood

Always fancied doing the big Apolla Saturn V rocket too. I think there was a Vintage fire engine around the mid 70's too which I always liked the look of, maybe a Dennis of some sort? Hmmm, the more I think about this, the more I think I might have to treat myself this Xmas to a couple of...

    Tamiya 1/20 Tyrrell P34 #20053

Nice, looks a cool kit, I do remember when this car used to race, think they outlawed it after a while didn't they? Its on my "to do" list to try an F1 car at some point, and I fancy a 1960 jobbie, maybe Lotus 49 or similar. I used to do a lot of PC sim racing years back and raced in a UK league...

Choosing a kit from your childhood

A Hypothetical for you..... What model kit would you like to build now, that you either built as a child, or wanted to build as a child? For me it was the Airfix diorama sets, eg: D-Day, or the Jungle outpost diorama with the bamboo hut, or the Nortn African outpost set. Always loved the look...

Help required in sourcing some sitting figures.

You can deffo get 1:48 figures, which although not exact scale, would prolly be close enough? I think even Tamiya and MiniArt may do 1:48, but ebay, temu, ali xpress et al will deffo do some, so just a matter of finding some and maybe adapting them? good luck with it....

Help required in sourcing some sitting figures.

You need a sitting figure that is not a policeman, eg: a civilian? in what scale? and in what context? eg: sittings resting, reading a paper, sitting slumped asleep, etc? and what material, eg: plastic, resin, metal? I've found Temu/Ali Xpress, etc to be good for various figures, but you...

Small scale figure Step by step (SBS). A 1/48 freebie Paul Hicks sculpt is the victim.

This build was before my time on the forum, so I have only just read it, and it is very interesting and will be useful to me (and others I'm sure) as I am about to paint a couple of 1:48 figures, so thank you very much. Mine will not even be in the same league as these ones, but at least I...

How to paint "white metal" figures?

Hi, after some advice from the hive mind.... I just bought some 1:48 scale figures to go with my upcoming Tamiaya GB vehicle. I did not read the description correctly! (my fault) so I thought they would be resin or plastic figures, but now that they have turned up, they are actually "white...
