    Chris' 1/144 Ye-50 'Not another -21 prototype!)

Okay so, tail adjustments first Chord shortened, and the rocket exhaust added - which is out of a SNEB rocket pod in the kit. Lot's more work on the base needed, pit of edge thinned and shaped plasticard probably, plus the rudder to re-scribe The various ports and rail have to be filled, and...

    Beriev Be-12 - Amodel 1/144

If they weren't the only game in town, I would so avoid AModel stuff. Buut... Silver Wings... Sovier 1/144 Are they worth all the effort? Depends how they turn out That wing fit is, challengging, shall we say? The tail and fuselage look pretty good though Stick with it!

No truer word has been spoken! I put some small numbers on the nose of one of my mini-MiGs Tries Folded over, then stuck to me, then to the cloth, then disintegrated... Burned down, fell over then sank into the swamp

    21st century toys Macchi mc205 Veltro 1/32

Uniform colours As far as I'm aware, and what's in my books, Regia Aeronautica uniform colours often depended on the theatre where the unit was deployed, at least early on. The Metropolitan theatre, i.e. Italian mainland (plus Albania and other European areas), basic uniform was a particular...

    21st century toys Macchi mc205 Veltro 1/32

Almost missed this About the seatbelts. In all my many, many, many books on Regia Aeronautica aircraft, there is, of course, not one picture of a pilot in the seat showing the belts on (or much of what they look like 'unattached') Lots of Heroic pilot pics though!

    Kc 135 stratotanker

Anyone taking bets on how quick Kaci finishes this to her usual high standard? I'm thinking, next Wednesday? As to the provenance of this bird, that's a lot of cockpit in there, which looks very up-to-date (ish).

    Papa695s 1/600 HMS Ark Royal

Thought I saw that. And a police Range Rover too? Sorry, going all tangential here! Like I don't have enough kits already 'Enough kits. Are you completely mad, sir?'

    Another R32 Gtr

Got a sudden urge to do a Police van! Or the Sherpa that appeared in the Quatermass Conclusion back in 1978! In my 28mm vehicles, as yet unfinished, I've got a proper nineteen-seventies Transit van. Of course, that needs a proper Mk II Jag to go with it for a proper 'Sweeny' job Or a bronze...

    Another R32 Gtr

There's a thought about Leyland. Does anyone do a 1/24 Transit, or a Sherpa?

    Another R32 Gtr

I did not know Tamiya did a metal black rattle can. Now I'm having ideas... Y'know, it sometimes feels like you're turning one of these out one a day Certainly faster than any British car manufacturer of the last fifty-years-or-so has ever managed!

    Aston Martin Ulster..... matchbox 1/32

Sweet. Guess I should do mine now, that's been sitting in a stack next to me for ooh, about five years... As a change of tack from all the min-MiGs... After I've finished another four-or-five of those before the end of that GB

    Worst /best kit you’ve built.

    Mmmaybee!
  20. Steve-the-Duck

    Worst /best kit you’ve built.

'Best' and 'worst' are always going to be subjective (except for the 'new' Airfix Hurricane 1!) There are objectively bad kits, with issues (poor fit, warping, inaccuracies), and there are kits you find 'bad' because of the effort you have to put into them (that isn't always worth it). Then...
