    Toyota supra A70

Which I run screaming into the next room from! (I'm looking at a set of transfers for a min iMiG trainer, which are pseudo-wood panelling for the wings and part of the fuselage and thinking, do I really want to put myself through that?)

    Toyota supra A70

Blimey. You churn these out quicker than my mini-MiGs! Even with those nightmarish transfers! Not that that's a problem with this one, which is turning out great As usual!

Chris'Trumpeter 1/144 J-7GB 'August First' Air Display Team (Neil's Blooming MiGs Everywhere GB)

Oh, and now in the never blinkin' satisfied column. Adjusted for ride height And now, despite weight in the nose, the Iraqi one has a tendency to tail sit. I have no idea why, unless it's something to do with the boom position?

Chris'Trumpeter 1/144 J-7GB 'August First' Air Display Team (Neil's Blooming MiGs Everywhere GB)

Yeah, even with less successful masking. Still, the white touched up perfectly. And I'm not doing three more in the Olympic colours Definitely Well, I have got one more J-7MG...

I know, I know. I said I wasn't going to get anything else, but it was cheap (mainly because it's missing the Ye-152, but not that that's a problem!) Also, the I-144 'conversion' (which includes the whole wings and fuselage as one piece, plus the fin - so all it requires from a kit is the...

    1:72 VT-1 Super Ostrich

Oh, there are just so many 'subsequent' Valkyrie variants beyond the original show and the 'Do you remember love' movie! Hmm, maybe I'll dig out my old completed VF-1Js (Hiro and Mirja), and see how they've fared after thirty years in a box...

    Chris' Trumpeter 1/144 F-7s Iran-Iraq (Neil's Blooming MiGs Everywhere

What's interesting is that the Iraqi one probably ended up in Iranian service, among the hundred-or-so 'planes that fled across the border during First Gulf!

Chris'Trumpeter 1/144 J-7GB 'August First' Air Display Team (Neil's Blooming MiGs Everywhere GB)

Still not happy with the ride height, but there you go This is the standard blue scheme of the PLAAF Air Display team, using the J-7 copy of the MiG-21. The team used J-7s until about 2008 when they were replaced by J-10 trainers, just after the Beijing Olympics (see my other J-7 down below)...

    Chris' Trumpeter 1/144 F-7s Iran-Iraq (Neil's Blooming MiGs Everywhere

Well, I may still go back a bit and shorted the undercarriage some more, but for now, I'm saying they're done Iranian Chengdu F-7M - Iraqi F7B, Iran/Iraq war 1988 Realised I hadn't done the brown over the canopy! Fit of parts of these little kits is fine, though you can see the canopy needs...

I have to say, the touch-up painting has worked really well. With just a few tiny spots to go over. And I've already started the team markings And so, doors are on , boom is on, transfers applied, markings done. Just got to wait for things to set before adding the undercarriage and doors...

    Chris' 1/144 Trumpeter Chengdupalooza WIP

The Iraqi/Iranian pair are coming along fine Markings are Heroics and Ros, which went on a treat, now using my non-water method of just soaking each individual piece with a brushload of Humbrol Decalfix Even though I got a set of Mark1 Arabic numerals, I've done all the numbers freehand with a...

    Chris' 1/144 Trumpeter Chengdupalooza WIP

Well, this time around the masking has been less than successful, despite careful applying, pushing down and overspraying with light varnish to seal. Used the same stuff as last time, mostly Tamiya, with only a couple of bits of that new AK stuff I picked up Not that any proper touch-up is an...
