Boatmans 1/200 scale USS HORNET CV8 BUILD AN LIGHTS for the Doolittle raid on japan

You are doing a marvellous job on those itty-bitty planes. You must have great patience. Love your furry visitor.

1/24 ‘Dutch’ Schaefer ( Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator)

That's an excellent result. The last photo really shows your work at it's best. Really well done.

At last I'm calling this done.

    Workbench, show us yours

I'm lucky to be able to use a large room in the house. It gives me room for the photo booth and the spray booth as well as a decent sized bench.

    Water washable resin

Look forward to your thread on using this. I'm with John though - too old but still interested.

    Me again, brush painting PE

Have you tried a dedicated metal primer. I like VMS Metal Prep. It is a thin, clear liquid which you just brush onto the PE.

Nick's Mini Art Tempo E400 for Geoffers Logistics Group Build

Looks fine. Certainly a quirky little vehicle.

    Neil's 1-35 Liberty Ship Diorama

Another great figure to add to the rest.

"Come on Big D, fly" The Hunt for Red October.

Ron was an inspiring modeller. His ideas, his building, his photography and his sense of humour were second to none. He built whatever took his fancy from Zulus and rusty railway engines to aeroplanes flying under bridges! He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. In the film...

    Sprue goo?

To be perfectly honest I've never seen the point of sprue-goo. There are many very good fillers available. Having said that I've never actually tried it so it could be brilliant :)

SOVIET T12 HOBBY BOSS KIT IN 1/35 SHOT UP IN A VILLAGE

That's a shame John as it looked to be coming on nicely but you know best. Whatever problems you're experiencing I wish you all the best. I have no doubt another great dio will find it's way onto your bench soon.

Steven’s 1/48 Spitfire Mk.IIa (90 years of Spitfires GB) Completed

That is an excellent result. Lovely to see the Spitfire modelled in flight. The base idea is perfect, an excellent idea.

    Brian's Caldercraft 1/72 HMS Victory

Looking better and better. Those masts are excellent. Now you not only have the length to deal with but also the height.

    Land Rover FC 1/76 kitbash

Filling those two sink marks won't be easy. I would try cutting off the lights, that would give a nice flat surface to fill and sand back to. Then replace the lights. If you cut them off close with a razor saw they may be ok to refit or you could scratch replacements. No doubt you'll sort it.

    JEN HURT

Well despite there being a funny side to it all the main thing is that Jen is OK and not hurt.

Masking fluid, how to remove from brush?

Last chance saloon - lacquer thinner. Could also try acetone - nail polish remover.

    Land Rover FC 1/76 kitbash

What an interesting project. Using those two kits makes it cheap and a reasonable size. Two KFS kits plus the house extension to keep the finished model in would have bankrupted you. Off to a good start.

Boatmans 1/200 scale USS HORNET CV8 BUILD AN LIGHTS for the Doolittle raid on japan

Glad the new shelves are sorted. Good idea of Paul's. Those little planes have really tested your skills and patience but they're looking good now.
