Hello everyone, Does anyone use a good ad blocker for youtube ? I don't mind the odd advert (I know they are necessary) but right in the middle of a song, is a bit anoying. -
Hobbybos 1:48 F111-A Aardvark
Here's my first finish of 2026. OK, 99.9% was built in 2025 but I did try to re-attach a main landing gear door today, but it fell off again. Done it, just in time. I actually thought it would be an easy finish, but you know how it is, just one more bit of detail here and there. It's the Airfix 1:48 Mk 1 Hurricane, finished in water based acrylics this time (I didn't have the correct MRP on the shelf) Airfix decals, which behaved...- colin m

Paint, we have paint. Unfortunately, I didn't have the correct MRP in stock so had to resort to some very old acrylic paints, which proved a bit of a pain to spray. Or maybe life is just so much easier with MRP, I've suffered acrylic skill fade. Anyway, when I could actually get the paint down...- colin m

Cheers chaps for stopping by. Well I wasn't expecting problems, but it turned out to be a real tight fit. Now, that looks like a Hurricane. The stbd wing root was perfect, the port had a small gap, easily dealt with by a small 'spreader' in the fuselage. Time for primer. Oh wait, masking...- colin m

A small update. Like many builds, we start with the cockpit. Well, the seat, then 'pit. Which fits into he cockpit, but still isn't part of the aircraft yet. The instrument panel does have a decal to use, but I just thought, highlighting the raise detail might look a bit better. The...- colin m
