1/32 Revell 1956 Cadillac Eldorado
I have managed to get the body together. Fit was OK although most of the locating pins had to be removed as they were either too large for their corresponding holes or in the wrong place. Worst was the bonnet - needed lots of weights and left overnight. All parts mounted up for painting. The...- Jim R

Painting parts prior to assembly, yes or no?
I never paint parts on the sprue. I like to dry fit and fettle parts before painting and as Andy says there's always a joining nub to clean up. I like to assemble as much as possible before painting but that's not always practical, then it's sub assemblies -

I sent him a pm in early January just to see how he was. I have not had a reply. It's upsetting when a member of the forum, especially one who was a very active member, goes AWOL.. The same thing happened to Dave Ward. -

Good to see you back at the bench. Well I've learned something - never heard of the T12 before. Quite odd looking with that second turret. Looks a nice kit. Looks like you've cornered the market for tweezers :) Watching with interest.- Jim R

Wonderful photos. Great to have an update. Looks very cold. When we lived in Scotland we had deer come down to the garden fence in the winter. I suppose the left over hay will still be ok to feed to the sheep (or deer 😄).- Jim R

Some progress in between garden jobs - SWMBO speaking "At last the rain has stopped so we need to tidy the garden". Translates as "Stop messing about with those bits of plastic and get out there!" :D The kit does not supply a clear part for the windscreen. I cleaned up the frame, had to cut off...- Jim R
