Just about done. A touch of silver for the pilots mirrors, some thread for the HF aerial and personnel door restraint. I’m contemplating adding a hold open strut for the upper personnel door and a grab handle on the cabin door frame,- rickoshea52

Doing some of the smaller details. The High intensity strobe light needs a bit of sanding down of the sprue gate, I stuck it to a blob of Blu Tak while I did this to keep it in position and from pinging across the room. We’ve made it to the paint shop. Before the grey I applied black over the cockpit framing first so that any glimpse through the glazing won’t show the grey fuselage colour. But I have mislaid my other jar of Tamiya XF-83.- rickoshea52

I have a mystery to figure out, what is this round fitting under the lower personnel door? I don’t recall seeing this on the HAR3’s I worked on and all references I can find suggest it was plated over on later marks of Sea King. Another correction to the kit are the pair of door restraining stanchions for the lower personnel door. Cables are attached to the door frame and run over the tops of the stanchions and attach to the door to restrain it in position. Curiously, Airfix included them in the 1/72 kit but not here...- rickoshea52

I found this photo online - https://www.helis.com/database/cn/14721/ - no winch fitted. This looks like it might be the photo Airfix have mentioned as the aircraft code and sqn crest match. As I continue to add the glazing and smaller parts to this I picked up on something unique to scheme B in this kit. The rescue winch is not fitted on this version which means the holes in the fuselage for the winch frame needs to be filled. It’s no big deal but the instructions aren’t clear...- rickoshea52

More lumps, bumps and panels added. The engine cowls and panel over the exhausts (which in real life also cover the rotor brake and blade fold positioner disc) don’t quite align neatly, however in real life these panels are all over the place.
