Any chance of a close up of the canopy issue Andrew. Real sorry to hear about it. I have followed this build from day one and know the work that went into it. Boatmans showtime phantom in 1/48th scale
I just had a thought Chris. Probably too late for this build but maybe for your 1/32 F4. With your lighting skills a couple of bright LEDs up the tail thrust tubes with some appropriately coloured cotton wool and hey presto.......After Burners.;)- HAWKERHUNTER

1/32 Revell BAE Red Arrows Hawk
Nearly there now. 6 coats of gloss varnish applied. The canopy has had its decals put on. The thin grey stripe above the red was a pain to get on and still needs tidying with some paint. Both front and main canopy sanded down and now a good fit I think. I have gone for the closed canopy option...- HAWKERHUNTER

Giving up on small parts
Is it just me or does anyone else just give up on trying to fit these small parts to the models. How the heck do you do it. I cant even hold the things as they stick to my fingers when I offer them up to the model. Tweezers are just a nightmare as if you can actually get them in the tweezers...- HAWKERHUNTER

So I made some progress with the decals today. In preparation I applied some gloss varnish over the matt camo. Little more progress. Canopy attached and taped off ready for painting. Coat of primer applied after some very minor filling Next was some pre shading.
