    Italeri 1/72 Macchi mc205 veltro

Heres the Italeri mc205 veltro in 1/72 , a tooling dating from 2002. Not a bad kit but a few ejector pin marks and flash to clean up , I didn't bother with a build log as I was doing it alongside the Eduard Hellcat but a fairly straightforward build , apart from the smoke ring camo . I...

Bit of a hiccup with the stencils , the image Joe thoughtfully found for me is excellent , however the stencils I had left on the sheet had different letters allocated to them ! Luckily they are JUST readable under the magnifier so it was simply a case of finding the right ones on the sheet and...

    Eduard 1/72 Hellcat mk1

Back onto this after a little holiday , the decals have been applied , little strange with the sheet though - there's quite a few stencils on the decal sheet but no mention of where to put them . I thought it was just because its a Weekend boxing but after looking at the instruction sheets of a...

    Eduard 1/72 Hellcat mk1

Well this has gone together very quickly , the only thing was the fitting of the wings. The wing to fuselage joint is a large recessed hole , the full profile of the wing ,which the wing is supposed to slot into but it was too tight a fit. The wings needed carefully sanding down bit by bit until...

    Eduard 1/72 Hellcat mk1

With a bit of careful painting the cockpit looks fine . The kit includes 2 instrument panels , one with raised detail and a plain ,flat one with a decal on the sheet for the instruments . I chose to use the decal and the raised panel instead of the flat one as I think the raised detail looks a...

    Eduard 1/72 Hellcat mk1

This is something I got off ebay for a bargain price due to the kit having half of the decals missing . Fortunately the scheme I wanted to do is the one thats left on the decal sheet, for the aircraft off of HMS Indomitable . Its a beautiful looking kit and I remember that when Colin did his a...

B.O.B GB Fiat br20 cicogna in 1/72 finished

Hi all heres the finished Italeri FIAT br20 in 1/72 . The Cicogna ( pronounced ‘ chick -on -ya ‘) was considered very modern on its introduction in 1936 but by 1940 was being overtaken by the rapid developments in aircraft design and considered obsolete by some . Despite this it soldiered on...

Yaks century series in 1/48 part 6 - the F106 Delta Dart

Masked up the tail and given it a coat of white primer then two coats of golden yellow. The scheme i’m doing has the yellow tail and a yellow diagonal stripe on the forward fuselage , but only the stripe is supplied on the decals so the tail had to be colour matched . This will now be getting a...

Yaks century series in 1/48 part 6 - the F106 Delta Dart

Nose masked and painted , its now had a coat of klear to seal everything . Next up is to mask and spray the yellow band on the tail then I’m going to decal it before I tackle the missile bays and undercarriage.

Yaks century series in 1/48 part 6 - the F106 Delta Dart

Finally got round to giving this a bit more paint. The first coat of ADC grey was ok but looked a bit featureless and monotone so I mixed in a good few drops of a dark grey to darken it a touch then went over all the panel lines to accent them a bit. The large bare areas on the big wings were...
