Welcome to this Anniversary GB, 90 years of Spitfires.

And striking while the iron is hot, ordered one from SMS (well two, because, you know, choice…) will join when they arrive this week.

Welcome to this Anniversary GB, 90 years of Spitfires.

After having panic when not finding a clear sprue, I thought I’d check out one in my stash Turns out I already started the Spit - it’s been primed - and as I’d hate to go against the spirit, clearly, I need to go shopping

    Italeri Fairchild Thunderbolt A-10C ‘Blacksnakes'

Been slacking but at it again today with the never ending PE Major panic when I couldn’t find the clear sprue, I was seriously looking up if I could get hold of another somewhere when I thought I’d have a check on other boxes from the stash, just in case… and thankfully, it was in another box...

    Andy's 1/144 Spitfire Mk1a

Do not drop it on the floor, looks like the carpet monster could probably swallow it whole! That is tiny, but I’m guessing that making it look good when it is that small is a challenge too, it would be easy to overdo it right?

    Redone my pc

That’s great! Last time I had an actual desktop, they were still crammed full of wires and cards and without the transparent sides - all laptop these days - so that is really cool in a very nerdy way - and as a nerd, that is entirely complimentary

    Redone my pc

And you displayed a car inside the PC too?

Nuther poll - What type of scale modelling do you do/like most?

Military planes, and more jets than props but not that fussed. I do like a Sci-fi build though and I never feel any problem going completely off-scheme with them.

Scotties Skoda RSO Rich models 1/35.

Didn’t last long :) Soul is still intact

Scotties Skoda RSO Rich models 1/35.

That is a piece of art! It’s a funny old beast - on a slightly related note, and no idea why I thought of this, but as I was going out today I wondered what driving at 15kph is like - and the answer is painfully difficult to do in a newish car!

    Latest Acquisitions (2026)

One day, I’ll have the ones from RAF Germany when we lived there in the 70’s - so that would be the Buc/Jag and Harrier too :) I’ll get the markings right for Wildenrath and Bruggen too between '75 and '78 - Maybe next years project.

Eduard 1/48 Spitfire MkVb (late) ProfiPACK

The office is really excellent, agree with you on Eduard, I’m not sure I’ve had a bad one yet, but you are definitely doing it justice. Shame it will all be covered up, bit at least you know it is there!

    Eduard 1/48 Lavochkin LA7

Very good, I know you know the blemish is there, but I’m not seeing it now you have the paint on, top notch job on cleaning that up. Have you cut a piece of foam to cover the cockpit? That looks a neat way of just covering over with masking tape and I think I’ll try that.

    Airfix 1/72 Hawker Typhoon 1b

This is a nice little kit, you are doing it justice. Kind of jealous of your cutting mat though, it is a long time since mine looked like that :(

Red Arrows ‘What if’ EE Lightning. Airfix 1/48th.

The lightning would have been an awesome Red Arrows aircraft! 9 of them in diamond… hmm sounds like a job for an AI...

    Lego my V8

Wow, that looks great fun. I still love lego, and this looks like the best of lego technics and then some.

    Italeri Fairchild Thunderbolt A-10C ‘Blacksnakes'

Also been priming and airbrushing the interiors around the engine mounts and the undercarriage bay - but there is a load of PE to go there too.

    Italeri Fairchild Thunderbolt A-10C ‘Blacksnakes'

Not abandoned, but progress has been slow the last month. Back to PE today though..

    Migs Group Build

So that is going to be the classic 1:1 scale? It’s going to take quite a few paint pots 🤣

    Airfix B17G 1/72 Milk Wagon.

That looks fantastic! I have an Airfix B17 and a Revell one, ‘one day’ I just may build them together as a comparison. I loved seeing the one they have at Duxford and I have a big framed pic of it as inspiration in the man cave.
