Macchi M.E. 72 AMP kit

Ok slightly longer than a weekend ( i did other stuff) but stripped of the decals and pin stripes and masked them up, so a couple of mistakes on my part, i did the boarder line first and I can see a shadow underneath the number panel, nose is slightly mis-shaped but I might live with it if i...- simontie

hi all couple of more pictures tank and seat now fitted with decals applied looks quite nice so far. these when on no bother and the mud guard one was the same still setting but easy to apply, the exhausts I bonded to the under side of the frame to hold them in place the fairing will also...- simontie

k well just about there!!! my axle rod arrived on Monday so I have fitted both wheels and fitted the rear end permanently shocks and wheel along with the rear brake rod I made. The exhausts these had grills moulded into them so I scrapped and sanded these off along with the heavy seem I think...- simontie

hi all well 2 steps forward and 3 back or what ever they say? took the swinging arm off as it just didn't sit pretty as you can see the tube that the swinging arm shaft should spin on is like a a banana and the shaft was short by 2 or 3mm. sorry not so obvious in the picture, So after some...- simontie

Ok busy weekend but don't seem any further on, managed the engine in to frame drilled the mounts and screwed it together, had a look at the front end and decided to drill out the centre pins that hold the front wheel i have an axle for it but this might just be glued each end.. forks are a bit...- simontie

Well spent a bit of time puttting a shock absorber together out of a few bits and pieces as the kit ones are wrong red and they look … so i came up with this a bit of old sprue, some stainless wire and an spare mono shock bottom from Tamiya Kit. this is as far as i got with it needs cleaned...- simontie

Quite weekend so i have pieced some of the engine together lot of flash and mis matched parts in most cases i have just cut off the dowels and lined up by eye, lots of dressing up there seems to be a glaze over most of the parts i suspect a primer for the heavy chrome plating that took an age to...- simontie

Thursday yippee, ok well managed to complete the rear wheel and it looks ok fitted the tyre for effect i need to paint the wheel now once i clean it all up started the front as you can see one side complete but a lot to do before i start the other side.. also I bought a new dermel drill stand...- simontie

First side done nipples still loose discovered i can true it up once all the spokes are in an then i will start trimming the excess and setting the nipples to hold it in shape. (Hopefully round) second side 9 left to go will try and get this one laced up tomorrow then start the front :surprised:- simontie

Hi, well started the rear wheel but due to the size of the hole i cut and centre pin diameter I used, I packed it out with 4 packers and wrapped the centre pin to achieve a snug fit not tight same with packers i also Cut and glued some pads on the bottom of the jig hole to lift the rim so it...- simontie

No going back now… so i tried the formed nipple on the end of the spoke and it fits and works but very stiff to bend and lift over the hub on a real wheel you are left with play on the rim to move it left and right along with up and down but i cant do this with the scale wheel unless i put all...- simontie
