    A time for celebration.

Thank you everyone for your support on the cobblestone Road. I’ve decided to go a different route instead of adding the scout car. and of course, I was not satisfied with many of the kit parts so working on seats and some other added detail. Thanks again for watching.

good afternoon everybody the road work is looking better than I anticipated.… stones have been set and mortared in and the cleanup has begun. Once the mortar has dried. I’m hoping that some gray and black washes will color the white mortar.

Thank you, everyone. I’ve been able to spend a little time on the next steps of the base. The voids in the built up pavement are for a storm drain and manhole cover. And now the madness shall begin with the cobblestones.… Yes, real stones. Found them on a beach, and they struck me to being...

Thank you, everyone sorry I have been away from the forum due to this insane weather that we’ve been having here in Pennsylvania. April has been an absolutely rotten month for weather and I have been dealing with a basement that floods every time it rains which has been way too frequent this...

    A time for celebration.

Good evening everyone and thank you for continuing to follow along. I was able to do some additional painting, including gutters and downspouts. However, they are not yet installed. I was able to add the patina of the copper flashing at the roof. Chimney stacks and doors, shutters and siding...

Thanks for the feedback and I think that I have been able to follow some of your recommendations guys. I’ve filled the mortar joints..well at least most of them and have left a few open for decay / neglect etc over the years, the flashings and coping at the roof ridge have been added and I’ve...

First pass at the building plaster…this is the first time that I used something other than gypsum board spackle And I am pleased with the results. I haven’t yet committed to filing all of the stone work mortar joints..they are not too deep and I kind of like the depth to provide more...

The finished project with a light dusting applied with washes and also the stowage added. ….looks like this one is going to end up in a little diorama,,,the building pic attached …found it on the internet and it is in need of some TLC to make it look presentable…but overall it’s not a bad little...

    A time for celebration.

I still have storage to add and a light dusting for weathering, but figuring it is a command car, It doesn’t take much battle damage And wear and tear. Thank you all for looking in...

Shameless plug for a new brand of paint that I have never used before.. Mission Models,,, really enjoyed the application and coverage with the AB, but it’s definitely more flat than the Valejo paint that I am used to using. I knew this was going to happen as well after reading some articles...

Thank you everyone… Jakko yes that would have been ideal and I did consider that after finding that kit online. But then I thought of all of this fun that I would have been missing out by all of the scratch buildin. I was able to get a little bit more done including construction of the map board...

Well I think I was able to pull this off. It took some trial and error, but I am pleased with the result I first had to fill in the bottom of the seat and then slowly started to bend the steering rod to the shape needed. The bottom rail will have to be in two pieces but it will still look...

    A time for celebration.

So I’ve decided to present myself with somewhat of a challenge in redoing the command car floor and seat supports. After further research I’ve discovered that the seats do not set up on a pedestal that is prevent with the kit as a solid block, but found that the seats are on a tubular support...

    A time for celebration.

thanks John, feels good to be at the bench again some further updates: the light guard PE parts would not bend to the correct shape so I thinned out the kit parts, removed the interior bars and replaced them with what I found to be a rod type bar (various walkaround website photos) vs a flat...

    A time for celebration.

good morning everyone, I am trying to get some modeling mojo back by jumping in this year with a Italeri Dodge staff car. I've started with some additional details using some plastic rod for bolts, nuts, etc as well as an old Archer decal sheet for some rivets. I also have some PE from Eduard...
