Thank you everyone for your support on the cobblestone Road. I’ve decided to go a different route instead of adding the scout car. and of course, I was not satisfied with many of the kit parts so working on seats and some other added detail. Thanks again for watching.- Strenko J

good afternoon everybody the road work is looking better than I anticipated.… stones have been set and mortared in and the cleanup has begun. Once the mortar has dried. I’m hoping that some gray and black washes will color the white mortar.- Strenko J

I’ve filled the mortar joints..well at least most of them and have left a few open for decay / neglect etc over the years, the flashings and coping at the roof ridge have been added and I’ve...- Strenko J

First pass at the building plaster…this is the first time that I used something other than gypsum board spackle And I am pleased with the results. I haven’t yet committed to filing all of the stone work mortar joints..they are not too deep and I kind of like the depth to provide more...- Strenko J

Shameless plug for a new brand of paint that I have never used before.. Mission Models,,, really enjoyed the application and coverage with the AB, but it’s definitely more flat than the Valejo paint that I am used to using. Well I think I was able to pull this off. It took some trial and error, but I am pleased with the result I first had to fill in the bottom of the seat and then slowly started to bend the steering rod to the shape needed. The bottom rail will have to be in two pieces but it will still look...- Strenko J

So I’ve decided to present myself with somewhat of a challenge in redoing the command car floor and seat supports. After further research I’ve discovered that the seats do not set up on a pedestal that is prevent with the kit as a solid block, but found that the seats are on a tubular support...- Strenko J

thanks John, feels good to be at the bench again some further updates: the light guard PE parts would not bend to the correct shape so I thinned out the kit parts, removed the interior bars and replaced them with what I found to be a rod type bar (various walkaround website photos) vs a flat...- Strenko J
