    Dapol OO Gauge Stephenson's Rocket

This will be a nice little build Dave of a very famous engine. I had the pleasure of going to York Railway museum last summer and saw it there. I took this picture, although it does look slightly different to the pictures above and also your model. Mike

Valerons Arma Hobby Yakovlev Yak-1B 1/72

A bit of progress today. The cockpit and associated parts have been fully assembled and primed. I'm just waiting on some paint to arrive in the post so I can paint these parts. I must sat that the PE stuff is very fiddly and completely new to me. I have left the belts straight and will adjust...

Valerons Arma Hobby Yakovlev Yak-1B 1/72

Sorry for the slow response. I've been too busy to get any bench time. I'm back on it now though. I'm going with the scheme shown below. I'm trying to work out what Night Black is though, maybe just a fancy word for Black. Looking on Stalemates though it looks slightly lighter. I'm using...

Valerons Arma Hobby Yakovlev Yak-1B 1/72

A bit of early progress. I attached the cockpit PE. It was very fiddly and I probably overdid the superglue in places. This is my first time with the stuff so it's a learning curve. Next stage is to prime all of this, paint it, add decals etc of which there are a few in the cockpit. Then...

Valerons Arma Hobby Yakovlev Yak-1B 1/72

First of all, Thanks to Karl and Andrew for hosting this group build. I've struggled recently to complete a GB so I'm planning on trying extra hard to do this one. It's a relatively small kit to build but does have some PE included which is completely new to me, so that should add to fun...

Karl & Andrews Soviet wingy thing GB Chat thread.

I will be joining this GB and are planning to build this. I'm in an extended trip to Australia at the moment, so won't be able to start the build until later in October. I haven't decided which colour scheme to go with yet. I'll see what paints and have already and decide then. Mike

Underneath brush painted with 3 thin coats of the light grey green and the engine hood a 50/50 mix of the dark blue and black. Both seem to have gone nicely. I'll let this cure properly before starting on the top colour. Also started on a few other parts. It's going together quite nicely...

    Valeron's Airfix 1:72 Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero

It took a couple of goes with sanding in between but the main aircraft has now been primed using a rattle can of Army Painter white Primer. Valeron's Airfix 1:72 Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero

Squeezed a bit of early morning bench time in That'll be it for a few days as I'm busy on other things. I have the main body of the aircraft together. There is some tidying up before I prime. I prime with a rattle can but brush painted afterwards using Vallejo paints. I've just noticed the...

    Valeron's Airfix 1:72 Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero

Its going together nicely with no problems as of yet. The kit has a good feel to it. Cockpit and engine and a few associated items finished and assembled. A bit of tidying up of the seams needed and then I'll assemble the rest of the main aircraft. And whoops. Just noticed that the engine...

    Valeron's Airfix 1:72 Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero

So far so good. I've started with the cockpit and parts around this as per the instructions. These are now ready to be primed. Very little cleanup was required. There are a few ejector marks in places which won't be visible so I'm no worrying about those.

    Valeron's Airfix 1:72 Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero

I've struggled lately to complete a build or start builds, so I'm hoping my submission for Andy's GB will get the mojo back. I have the paintings and I'm ready to do. It's low on pieces so seems like a good kit to get me back to the bench. I was bought this kit by my daughter a few months...

This is going to be a very grey model. 5 different shades so far. This is the main body which I'll now do a clear coat and add decals which are quite colourful. It's very hard plastic which is different to the Airfix and ICM models I've been making. Dry fitting these two parts together and...
