    One year on.....

I've just had my renewal receipt for this forum which reminds me that I joined a year ago today. Thank you very much for everyone who has been supportive and helpful to me during this first year of my new hobby. Also thanks for all the blogging and giving me such interesting things to enjoy...

    Valerons ICM 1 35 Model T 1917 Ambulance

The drivers cabin is now assembled and painted. It is only dry fitted to the chassis. This was pretty easy apart step 34 below which was connecting a very small part which the steering wheel column will then connect into. If I'd read ahead more and seen this coming I'd have attached this when...

    Valerons ICM 1 35 Model T 1917 Ambulance

I've now done base painted the back cabin apart from the back door which will be left open on my model. I've not actually glued it onto the chassis and I won't do this until I've added more detail, declals, washes etc to it. ICM provide stretchers with this and I noticed that they stuck...

    Valerons ICM 1 35 Model T 1917 Ambulance

5,000 coats of white later, the inside is to look white. Not quite 5,000 actually but you get the drift. It's taken alot of brush coats so far It wasn't helped that I ran out of my normal rattle can primer and have been priming this model with my only other Primer, a Vallejo brown and covering...

    Movie/TV Show GB Chat Thread

I've been struggling something for my skill set and budget but in the end have opted for this.

    Valerons ICM 1 35 Model T 1917 Ambulance

As a few people have mentioned I've been looking into whether there were balance problems with this ambulance. I can't find anything on-line regarding this but it doesn't look particularly safe with the overhang does it? I'm sure it was though as they made loads of them. All pictures of the...

    Valerons ICM 1 35 Model T 1917 Ambulance

Starting to work on the back cabin now. I've mocked up a rough fit of it to see how much of the inside you'll be able to see. I'll be going with the back door open, it the bottom part hanging down. The whole cabin is made of wood and painted white inside. I've see a few online blogs of this...

    Valerons ICM 1 35 Model T 1917 Ambulance

Chassis fully assembled and painted. I'll paint more detail later. It was a bit tricky in parts as there are lots of small detailed parts under the chassis. Also it took a but of time to get the wheels fully level.

    Valerons ICM 1 35 Model T 1917 Ambulance

I'll probably make a start on this in a few days. I won't be making the figures as part of this GB but will give them a go separately as some point. Figures are completely new to me. I also haven't decided on the colour scheme yet. There are a few to choose from.

    Airfix 1/72 Junkers Ju87B-1 Stu,e

A bit more progress. The cockpit has been painted and will now be washed etc before closing. I have swapped the seat out and will now be having a crew aboard. These two fellows have been primed and washed ready for painting. The detail on these two is much better than the previous Airfix 1/72...

What do people do with their models?

I'm genuinely interested in what people do with their models after completing them. I've made 6 so far since staring the hobby this year and they are mostly 1/72 scale with a single 1/35 one. They are currently stored in a bookshelf but that isn't going to go on much longer as they're are...

    Airfix 1/72 Junkers Ju87B-1 Stu,e

Some progress. The cockpit assembled easily with minimal cleanup required. There are some ejector marks still but these won't be visible. Dry fitting seems good so these are now ready to be primed. I'm also waiting on some paints to arrive. The cockpit detail seems really good. The are 2...

    Airfix 1/72 Junkers Ju87B-1 Stu,e

I've always had a thing about Stukas since I read Battle Picture Weekly in the 1970s. So I'm going to build this one. It'll probably be a alow build what with Christmas and also the emergency service GB starting in January.

    Valeron's 1/35 ICM KHD S3000/SS M Maultier (Dave's Halftrack Group Build)

Well this was fun, frustrating and difficult all at the same time. I struggled with this from start to finish and made loads of mistakes, some fixable and some not. It's my first non Airfix 1/72 scale model I've completed since I started this hobby in January. How people like tracks I don't...

    Valeron's 1/35 ICM KHD S3000/SS M Maultier

I'm calling this done. I had my first session with pigments and have added dust and mud. And plenty of it. I hope its not too much. Thanks for watching everyone and thanks very much for the encouragement and help along the way. I'll post further pictures in a completed thread later today...

    Valeron's 1/35 ICM KHD S3000/SS M Maultier

All decals have now been added, a dirty kind of wash has been applied and fitted a Matt coat. The final stage will now be to weather further with pigments. I've never used these before but have some Vallejo ones for dust and mud.

    Valeron's 1/35 ICM KHD S3000/SS M Maultier

Getting there. Full assembled and painted now without any major issues since the last post. Next step will be a gloss coat to the cabin and remaining decals. Oh and the windscreen wipers need adding. Mike

    Valeron's 1/35 ICM KHD S3000/SS M Maultier

A bit more progress. The tracks have nearly been fitted. I found they extremely difficult and the they're a bit of a mess in places. It's my first time doing this so whilst I'm disappointed with the results I'm happy that they're nearly done. I'll do better next time. All I can say is thank...
