    Reaching the Limit?

Well - a failure, the first in many months! About 10 hrs into a 14 hour print - the print just detached itself - no reason I can find- rather annoying! :disappointed2: ( hint: Gladiator ) Dave

    Reaching the Limit?

I was never able to print this out properly, last year - a 12 hour overnight print The Night King from GOT. Handsome chap Eh! Aside from all the xlicer tweaks, I now print at a much slower rate - just a matter of finding the right balance between quality and acceptable print times Dave

    Reaching the Limit?

I originally printed this model on 22nd July 2023 - for some reason, I was never able to print the complete model, and had to cut him down to head & shoulders ( model cleaned up ) .................... The same model, printed yesterday ( nearly 11 hours ) These are images with the supports...

    Reaching the Limit?

I'm now trying to go down in size, - as the model becomes smaller, then definition is lost, a smaller bore nozzle will help, but that means a whole lot of tweaks in the slicer to be redone, and increasing the print times................... This is labelled as Achilles - a rather stylised pose...

    Reaching the Limit?

After 17 hours, and about a hour of removing supports.......................... Sadly, his axe didn't survive the clean up - I'll have to do some creative slicing & just print the axe off alone - he does have a fancy base, but I'm giving the printer the afternoon off. The sculpting isn't...

    Reaching the Limit?

1-2nd C Roman Centurion - After a 18 hour overnight print I was sceptical about whether the crest would print, but it actually worked well. This is actually printed at 75% size, I could print at 100%, but that would push the print time to over 30 hours, just a bit too long. Single piece...

On the Meng Facebook page.................. Fun with all those decals From ICM and as Lee noted - I wonder if the Leopard is a reboxing - normally, ICM put '100% New Tooling' if it's their product, but not this - time will tell! From MiniArt - 'new kit coning soon ' Dave

    Reaching the Limit?

In addition to the eagle bearer - one for a legion, each century would have a standard called a signum carried by a signifer Not as fancy as the eagle bearer, but looks more like a legionnaire! A signum is printing.................. Dave

    Reaching the Limit?

I've given up on the original - I've found another - it's a bit different Apparently the Legion Number would be either painted, or embroidered on the banner Dave

    Reaching the Limit?

I was right about the eagle - I've had four attempts ( so far ), Get it right in one place & it fails in another - I've tried different orientations & supports - about the only good thing is that they all stuck to the build plate! This eagle seems very big - I wonder if is a 'parade' eagle, as...
