this one is still ongoing done a lot of sanding, filling, sanding, filling, sanding etc etc etc etc those pesky mould lines keep on coming back but the worst ones at the pointy end are now covered in filler so I am hoping they will stay covered up it's a messy process - the dust is so fine...- SimonT

I should have known better than to mention nipples :rolling: :smiling5: Cheers Steve - the tap and die set I used is this TAP&DIE it does 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.0mm. Threads are so fine they will probably vanish under paint. Seems to work best with brass Started looking at the front sub frame...- SimonT

...must try harder......so I did thinking about it logically watchmakers, that these small tap and die sets are aimed at, don't work in plastic so I tried it with some brass wire instead Success Replaced the plastic studs with brass ones all having a threaded end section the thread is 0.7mm...- SimonT

day off today Spent two hours painting it white then scrubbing it off again Leaving more white than the T34 - quite hard to do. As I was about to start throwing paint around on Saturday I realised that I had missed an engine deck handle and the centre caps for both idler wheels made up a pair of centre caps from plastic card and hex rod used my new doming block to make the domed bearing caps - worked quite well...- SimonT

Morning - since you asked for it, I dug this one out again last night and rebuilt the bonnet as usual with kit parts they tend to be rather thick to aid moulding - the bonnet is just over 1mm thick so I scraped and sanded it down on the inside to a tad less than half a mm - it was turning...- SimonT
