A quartet of Ducati. Part 1; The 900
Ok so ipulled these out of my stash and decided to go for the 4 of them 1 after the other, so i started the 900 and will hit the 888 next followed by the 916 then the 1199 ( first bike i did was the 916 still got it but I alway‘s said i would do it again hopefully there's an improvement !!! this...- simontie

Tada all done except front decal need to wait for white plate to settle but she’s in the cabinet now calling it complete for now or till i can get hold of a Mike Hailwood figure but there like hen’s teeth… simon- simontie

Looking like last leg of this build, thought i better take a couple of shots before i cover it all up!! painting all complete just the last bit of assembly to do, fairing details all but complete underside fairings and oil pipe work to install complicated assembly forks bolt on from the station...- simontie

Well as mentioned in RC166 a busy week engine carbs sorted, engine now in frame started rear wheel build, and did a spot of painting. Few other wee bits done but you can tell its not by Tamiya but should turn out ok more when i have them simon- simontie

hi all well been doing a bit most evening‘s apart from Sunday and Monday when I spent the entire evening looking for a rivet, no I never found it but the rooms clean again, I now have the triple exhausts fitted and the front end temporally as it has to come off for the fairing to fit, body work...- simontie

Ok managed to catch up and get back on track not that i had a deadline so repainted the engine and assembled the rear wheel and swinging arm tricky little bugger but all done now, engine is back in frame & swinging arm attached, exhausts and fork bottoms painted, top tubes are DP‘s and quite...- simontie

In the booth fingers crossed, i know it looked good but it would have niggled away at me for eternity but now i can re build, on the up side the swinging arm’s painted and the vented brake drum looks great simon- simontie

Ok engine is just about there top and bottom complete, but a fair bit of fettling to get it here will press on as per plans nothing painted and i must have a good 40% of it soaking in bleach a lot of plated parts that just look so ugly ….- simontie

hi all, getting on really well with this build engine is in the frame good fit but why you have to connect the HT leads up in sequence beats me!!, but needs done before securing in place with screws. swinging arm is built not finished, sprocket and chain set & exhausts put together not finished...- simontie

Busy week so far engine is just about complete only the plugs to fit, frame painted with coils in place and foot pegs have to say these are steel and well made they look awesome… and plugs ready to fit, engine build was really good to do, just the oriantation of the cylinder head looks even but...- simontie

A little bit fiddly but looks ok for a first attempt still need to finish of and clean up but much better than the chrome plastic. Im sure the next one will be better- simontie

Ok well apart from some dodgy drilling rim is now free of the hub and primed, will top coat silver. hub to cut out and drill remove the moulded spokes and clean up i put a centre pin in the jig to line up the hub and rim but i made a small mistake by not measuring the dish of the wheel but i...- simontie

Ok managed a bit of the RC this evening, cylinder’s assembled tricky but a really nice piece, carbs including the DP bell mouth intakes, bottom of cylinder crankcase and even managed to paint the sump and rocker covers busy night simon- simontie
