Welcome to this Anniversary GB, 90 years of Spitfires.

I'm not building this, but did find it a bit amusing

And me. You might think I already had a Spitfire in the stash. But no.

What a great bit of history Lee. Imagine finding a bit of green paint on an inner panel !

    1:48 Smer Macchi Castoldi M.C. 72

Bad news, well for Marco the pilot. He’s sacked. His heart wasn’t in the right place. So, at last, vindication for drinking all that wine, and saving the foil tops, I’ve made a seat. And a vague attempt at an IP which you really can’t see in the fuselage. The pit has also had a bit of work...

First flight of the Spitfire 5th March 1936 - 90 years ago

We can't really set a date without at least 10 people. I have already suggested March / April / May, giving us just a slight overlap with the logistics GB.

Well we didn't make the ten required for a GB so it's off. The lack of interest for a Spitfire GB was a bit surprising, but I do understand,. Just about everyone has built a Spitfire before. I think I've done 6 !

Ah, I thought the engine frame was impressive at 1:72. But I see now, you've built string of 1:72 models. I must pay more attention.

I imagine if you take that into work and spray it with the stuff you use, it would dissolve. Oh wait, is it all water based these days ?

    No Quarter

That is probably done for. Great work.

    Joe's 1/72 Airfix Boeing Chinook HC1

Decals, wow, good luck with that trick. I think I would have bottled it and dived into the spares box. I don't mind masking too much, but not canopies. The build itself, looks great.

Desert Diorama - Featuring British ATMP x6 wheeler

Great job. As I viewed from start to end, it was great to see the layers being built up. And of course, the finished job, brilliant.

That does look really good. A couple more pics looking down into the whole scene might be good.

Your memory is clearly better than mine.

I'm impressed by both the model and the blue sky.

Red Arrows ‘What if’ EE Lightning. Airfix 1/48th.

I don't really got for 'what ifs' but they do look brilliant.
