Karls RAF Journey. Pt2. So Spitfire finished, Pt1 here, learnt not to use Humbrol, stuck it on it's base and it's now in the wee lads room. Arrived home to find this waiting for me, actually my 2nd one of these, but it was a good price, a bit under RRP which is unusual for an Eduard Ltd, and my nectar points paid for it....... So if anyone wants a resin Douglas Bader just ask and I'll get him in the post. -

Another quick hour in the shed, possibly the last until the weekend as I have to work away so will be gone for two nights, then away for two weeks..... Just some decaling tonight, and sighing at all the thumb prints left after cleaning off that varnish, don't think I'll do the stencilling...- KarlW

Back on track, though there is some mottling on the finish now I'm hoping the final topcoat will blend that away. At the start of the day I thought I would be posting in completed builds at this time.....- KarlW

Not such a great escape, I've now got chalk like deposits....... So have gone over it with a cotton bud soaked in air brush cleaner, (But not Mr Tool Cleaner.) It's stripped the paint in a couple of spots, and it feels tacky, but fingers crossed.- KarlW

Err, so this was a bad idea...... Should of read some reviews first, it's just beaded up on the surface, praying to whoever that it levels but after reading a few posts online....... I didn't hit post reply on the above, but I tried another coat, it seemed to just stick to the existing coat...- KarlW

Dulux ceiling paint
Any one rember the Dulux ceiling paint that went on pink and dried to white? Wouldn't it be great to have a clear coat that does the same, goes on tinted and dries clear..... -

I go as far as Apature priority and that's about it...... No bench time last night as I had family visiting to wish me a happy birthday, and they drank all my beer...... So tonight I got the black and white wings done and sprayed the areas to be silver black too. I am loving the way these...- KarlW

Same picture, flouro tubes off, no interference cast. I do have a shooting table with an infinity curve some where, moved house losing a bedroom and garage in the process, still not recovered everything from everywhere it went while getting a shed built. But for quick WIPs the bench will do.- KarlW

Another short shed session tonight, I think the pattern is about right. Just a little bleeding which caused my to learn a thinner soaked cotton bud will take you to bare plastic..... I really need to turn whatever lamp is causing those yellow bars off when taking pictures with my phone.- KarlW
