    1/10 WW1 Lewis Gunner.

Thanks all…it really is very appreciated! I’ve made a bit of progress on the main figure… the leather jerkin was really well sculpted in terms of texture and was great to dry brush to get a leather grain effect! The scarf is a bit of a nod to the Football Battalions of WW1 but I will leave it to...

Cheers Tim… I’m about done with painting the head… it doesn’t really show up on the photos but I put a drop of water effect on each eye to make them glisten! thank

    1/10 WW1 Lewis Gunner.

Hi all Started on another WW1 bust and started with the eyes as per usual… first step was to paint the whole eyeball black… ….then fill in with off white to leave a very fine dark edge to each eyeball… After that it’s a series of semi circles to create the pupil and iris… Green eyes this time so...

    1/10 Feldgendarmerie.

The head is about done now… unfortunately I overloaded the super glue on the head for fixing the helmet and a trickle ran down the face by the eye so there’s some cleaning up to do! Thanks again Jason

    1/10 Feldgendarmerie.

Hi all Just made a start on this bust of a German motorcycle feldgendarmerie… Still a bit of work to do on the face but the helmet is about done. I’ve hand painted the helmet decals but I might add a bit more camo whitewash to hide any flaws?..I was always put off this one by the goggles and...

    WW1 Stormtrooper bust.

Hi all, Hope everyone’s staying well. Just working on this Young Miniatures bust…and this is progress to date. The kit does have the figure smoking a pipe but I haven’t decided whether or not to use that as yet. Just a question for anyone who might know…. I have painted the shoulder boards...

    U Boat Crewman bust

Hello again.... once again sorry for not posting that much recently but here’s my latest work in progress... nearly finished...I’m a bit out of practice and struggled with the face a little but this will just have to do. It is quite an old bust and the sculpting around the eyes were a little...

Hi all, Hope everybody is well... sorry I haven’t posted in a while... been busy with other things! I did find time to complete a couple of busts... I have liked this figure since Peter Day posted his version some time back. Apparently it’s boy soldier based on the practice of soviet troops of...

Thanks all,...much appreciated, Pretty much calling this done now... I scratched a couple of cap badges from plasticard and milliput and that’s about the best I could do with them... The idea was that they complement the repro cap badge I have used on the base... not that close a match when...

Hi all, Making some progress on this but the shirt has held me back.... this is the third version... did a red one that didn’t work then a blue one... both of which didn’t give enough contrast between the squares... This third version still needs some tidying up but here’s where I am now...

Hi all, I thought I’d make a start on this bust by Life Miniatures as it’s been in the stash for a while... I’ve always been put off by the rather neat beard on the box art so I decided to rough it up a little with the craft knife. I’ve also opted for a lighter hair colour and it works better in...
