Well, here we go folks, It's finally finished.. (apologies for the shed load of pics) The Airfix Sepecat Jaguar, built straight out of the box with resin exhausts and ejection seat, finished in her Gulf War colour scheme as Johnny fartypants. Airfix have really re-set the bar as far as 1/48...- langy71

Latest Acquisitions (2025)

And another update, Started off with a 'naked' Jag, applied all the decals..(there wasn't that many.lol) and she had a bath on flory models dark dirt wash. Also started on the weapons, and washes applied to the undercarriage. Next up a satin coat and oil stains /weathering of the...- langy71

Had some time to make a start on the exhaust shields, I've gotta say I'm loving MRP Paints.. their 'metal' colours are perfect. And a quick test of the resin cans... not bad at all. Also managed to sort the Gun ports out, Airfix would have you paint this brick red, however there's...- langy71

Finally had a delivery of the paint..so I thought i'd throw a bit at her, Granted the pics seem a little dark, ( the bottom pic has been lightened and sharpened up to show the detail) but in normal light the pre shade / marbling worked well. Gonna let this dry completely for a couple of days...- langy71

Had a bit of time to finish of the main parts of the build, and throw some primer at her, totally love the way it looks with a splash of Mr surfacer 1500 black...never used this before and I'm really pleased with the results..(I even went a bit 'thick' on one area and it levelled down...- langy71

Managed to throw some extra thin at this over the weekend, it's starting to look less like a load of plastic bits and more like a Jaguar, It goes together perfectly, with no gaps, (I have ended up using a micro smear of filler on a couple of bits but that's down to user error and not...- langy71

Right then, the seat is finally done...(finally they say !!..lol), straps repainted a lighter shade for contrast, decals added, and a couple of extra bits of paint ,(yellow handles and the red 'blob' on the headbox)done.. to be honest I could easily mess around for ages with various bits on...- langy71

Had a couple of hours this morning to throw a bit of paint at the seat.. needs a tiny bit more work on it, whatd'ya think ? I'm not too sure about the colour of the droge chute..(the bag thing on the top, as I can't find any pics of the top of the seat). Also, anybody got any idea's if...- langy71

Right then.. had a look at the pilot after giving him a prime and black wash... he looks better, not 100% sure about him, it's an improvement, I've also ordered a replacement resin bang seat..luverly stuff indeed. Had a bonus find as well, whilst messing around with the Airfix pilot I found...- langy71
