So I think this is getting there now. I varnished with "lucky" matte, then applied a buff filter to some top panel areas. I also tried using some pastels for weathering with white spirit carrier. How long does it take you to build a model?
So, out of interest, just asking how quickly, or slowly, you all build your kits.? This is the average time to build, paint, weather, base etc. whatever you consider "complete", and on average. Feel free to add detail about different types of kit, scale, various stages etc. I may add some polls... -

Dialled back the chipping a bit, as it seemed a bit much, and added some "rust" using Winton Burnt Sienna. I have to say the shade is spot on, and I like the effect. Since I couldn't do much more oil weathering I started "chipping" with acrylics. The effect seems a bit over the top at the moment. I hope it will get dialled back a lot once I do a final buff filter, and apply some "sand" pigment powder. Anyway it's a first attempt, so i'll cut myself some...- dalej2014

Well I'd been dreading doing the decals because they're a bit of a bugbear of mine. These went on a treat though, and will be ;left to dry overnight before sealing with more gloss coat. Not sure if this is a kits only, or any model related bits thread, but anyway grabbed some proper CA and debonder, acrylic gloss varnish, nickel silver rods and some wet and dry sheets today (1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000). Most of it from my local model railway shop. The sheets were a pound each... -

Well, it felt really wrong to gloss varnish an AFV, but trusting in the process, advice, Youtube etc. that's what I've done. I used the Mig 2053 "Lucky" gloss varnish. Nice and thin so won't obscure surface details. Went on in a matter of minutes with a big brush. Now I have to wait 24 hours for...- dalej2014

Who was it said I'd be buying more kits already!? I know I've quite a stash, but it's a Panzer! And some of the legendary green stuff :) I've also won some Panzer Colours books on eBay - pictures to follow when they arrive. Now I just have to pick a scheme. North Africa perhaps? -
