    1/48 P-39N Airacobra

Not had too much cave time the last couple of weeks so this has taken a little longer than expected. I've been surprised at how different building aircraft is compared to cars and weathering is totally new to me. I've tried to give the impression of a well weathered aircraft, as I imagine it...

    1/48 P-39N Airacobra

The last plane I built was when I was eight years old. I say built but if I recall it was more like throw some glue and paint at it and hang it from the bedroom ceiling:). I suspect that's how a lot of us started!! Anyway, Whilst in my LMS picking up supplies they were reducing some of their...

    Got my first Plane!

Just ordered this! I'm thinking ahead to next years Group builds and there is so much variety I thought it would be a good time to broaden my modelling horizons. The Harrier build grabbed my attention. I remember seeing them take a bow at Fairford a few years ago. Very impressive. Until now...

    Ferrari 330 P4

Finished this! Fujimi curbside model built pretty much oob. Its a good kit but a real shame it doesn't have any engine detail it would probably only need another eight parts. The clear plastic parts are a bit flimsy as well, the screen was a nightmare to fit. Anyway the F40 build stalled this...

    Ferrari F40

The Brutal F40! The catalyst for a life long love of all things automotive. As a young boy I would spend hours longingly staring at posters and magazine articles, dreaming that one day I would own one... Well now I do:)! After a bit of research I decided to go for Tamiya's 1/24 kit...

    Nissan R390 GT1

Well here's the finished article. Its taken longer that I expected so I hope its worth the wait. I'm pleased with the way it has turned out. Not sure if it qualifies as 'Super Detailed' but its been fun. Build thread here http://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/tamiya-1-24-nissan-r390-gt1.19741/...

    40 Year Old Decals

Gentlemen! After some advice please. On closer inspection of my 1970s Lola T160 kit (I've posted some pics in latest acquisitions thread if you're interested) I don't think the decals are going to be of any use at all. Any Ideas, advice, suggestions?? I have done a Google search and can't find...

    Tamiya 1/24 Nissan R390 GT1

So! I've decided to make this one my next project! It was going to be the Porsche 911 GT1 but I'm waiting on a few after market goodies so I thought I would practise some new tricks on the poor Nissan. I've done a few of these car kits now, and they've been pretty much straight out the box...

    YAMAHA YZR500 RED BULL

Well its finished at last! Having never considered building a bike before I am pleased to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. Being a Tamiya kit it was a doddle to put together and really well detailed. The decals were fairly straight forward with the aid of microsol and the better halfs hair...

    1/24 Tamiya Sauber Mercedes C9

I started this kit about 3 months ago. I decided I was going to paint it in Halfords aerosols (other vehicle accessory shops are available). So I bought primer, colour and clear. I followed the instructions to the letter and behold....... as soon as I shot the clear it went horribly...

    Yamaha YZR 500 Red Bull

First motorbike, first GB so here goes. This will be my contribution I know nothing about motorbikes so my selection of a subject was based on pretty colours. I'll try not to make a hash of it but I just had a quick read through the instructions and I'm making no promises!! Jason

    Tamiya 1/24 CLK DTM D2

Hi All, Next to emerge from the Man Cave is this offering. It has been on the bench for what seems like a lifetime, mainly due to the monumental decal job which has taken hours and a tanker load of microsol. Annoyingly the colour started to bleed on some of them and there are still some that...

    Tamiya 1/24 Jaguar XJR-9 LM

I Finished this one a few months ago. I've always loved the 80's Le Mans cars so thought I'd have a crack at this. There were a few problems with fit which you can see in the photos, particularly the engine cover which still wont sit quite right. The Silk Cut decals are after markets from ebay...

Airfix 1/72 Willys Jeep & Trailer

Hello All, I got back into modelling at the beginning of the year after a 12 year break. I've completed a couple of builds so far, mainly 1/24 Le Mans Racers but I thought I'd start by posting something smaller. Bought this little guy on impulse for £4 at my local model shop, good value for...
