After the advice above, I had a go at attaching some brass wire to the front port access door to replicate the wire stays that hold the lower door at the correct angle for access and also used for raising the door when closing! Tackled the decal issue this morning. Did my test run and checked measurements. Looking good. As a belt and braces precaution, I duplicated the existing set I made up!! (C&P). I settled upon MS Sans Serif after checking out what was the closest match. The '5' was the critical part due to the vertical element in the number. MS font was the one that matched. I had stumbled on a reference on the net somewhere that mentioned Sans Serif as the font for the lettering. Hence...- Waspie

Well regards the stripes, not really the effect I was hoping for. In hindsight, I think maybe replacing the white for perhaps a mid grey would have given a more shadow effect. Moving on from that.
