    Tamiya BMW R75/ sidecar

Slowly getting to look like a motorbike :tears-of-joy: The clothes peg (that you can just see at the top left is for holding the tweezers as I haven't got lockable ones (yet!). The tins are to stop the bits from migrating!

    Tamiya BMW R75/ sidecar

Slowly getting the skills back, happy with the gear change lever knob (just waiting for the polished steel to arrive for the rest of it), and how the sidecar is turning out

    Tamiya BMW R75/ sidecar

Getting in some (much needed) painting practice (must be at least 10 years ago that I last did any! ) Most of it can be corrected if needed!:tongue-out3:

    Tamiya BMW R75/ sidecar

Started today, not getting far, as it seems that every bit has got to have the flash/mold seams scraped, so slow going! Fit of the parts seem to be fine, though locating pins/holes are sloppy Engine together, will be getting the paints out next, as a lot of it isn't accessable after assembly.

Small German vehicle with 3 or 4 crew?

Well, got the photo 'edited', as I thought that I'd use it at the end to 'continue' the road off base - just hope that I can 'stretch' it to match without it too being obvious - removed the car (hopefully not too obvious) & I've 'flipped' it - having blown it up to A4 size, there seems to be an...

Small German vehicle with 3 or 4 crew?

Not planning on it being too 'up front'- more of a sort of 'routine movement' of kit in a mountainous area - similar to this photo I say 'similar' as the photo is Scotland, but let's face it, it could be any mountainous region - was going to add a few stunted trees and an area off the hairpin...

Small German vehicle with 3 or 4 crew?

Looking for the above to give a diorama the 'right' number of figures in it - don't really want to put a tank onto it - it's big enough already! Using the Demag, PAK 36 and a BMW outfit, so got 'reason' for 6, but to get all the poses/interaction I want, need 3 more.

Got a few 'other' interests, from watches to airguns

The Sekonda wristy that I had repaired is a Slava re-brand, it's the one with two barrels (can't remember the movement number - think it's a 2414) and they can be a little 'delicate' though it didn't need much doing to it & getting on for 50 years old! Just mainly what Timpsons messed up. One of...

Got a few 'other' interests, from watches to airguns

Watches tend to be Russian - started off when I got an old Sekonda repaired, then decided that I'd put a new movement into another watch I'd had kicking about, then it was buy a watch dial, hands and a watch to 'customise' - even bought a couple for the wife! A few of them below The one I put a...

    Cammo netting?

Thanks, will look at those - I don't reckon that hairnets are even produced nowadays! Though not too far out for 1/35 scale;)

    Cammo netting?

So what's the 'go-to' for cammo netting nowadays? Last time I was doing any amount of modelling, the 'usual' was a hairnet (Ena Sharples style!) - still got some sat in the old modelling box:flushed:

Advice on creating a 'tumbling water' effect?

I've an idea that I'd like to include in a future dio, but at the moment have a poor idea of how to get the effect, so advice please! I'd like to create a small waterfall where a stream tumbles down and into either a culvert or a larger stream (culvert would probably be a lot easier!) to get...

First try at a 1:35 dio

Fairly sure that there are a load of stuff which I did wrong, but this is the first attempt Kit is a ESCI Demag from years back Dio base scratch built with cardboard, and papermache using PVA glue instead of water - not sure about the 'river', but tried to get the best effect of water. The heads...

    Wotcher!

Signed up yesterday, had a look round & posted a couple of questions/observations - got some good replies, so thought that it might well be worth a tenner a year to hang about here.:smiling: Been modelling on and off for many years, so have a bit of experience (used to like the old Hasegowa(?)...
