Graeme's Tamiya Stug III Ausf G

John, it is rather enjoyable, in fact so much so, I've done a bit more using mig light dust, building up the weathering in layers. Some extra bits to go on the engine deck are in the tray.

Graeme's Tamiya Stug III Ausf G

A start has been made on the weathering using pigments, Mig Europe dust, still a bit wet in places in the picture, more to do.

Graeme's Tamiya Stug III Ausf G

A bit more progress, all the wheels are painted up, the tools, spare tracks are all done & added to the hull. There are a couple of tow ropes, made using spare lengths of copper tow cable & the kit loop ends, one has been added to the clips on the track guard, will decide where the other is...

    Help identifying a car wreck

Looks very different in that photo, but it does look like a Ford Y type, made in Europe in the 30's in a few variations.

    Help identifying a car wreck

Here's a possibility, Ford V8, made in a wide variety of body styles including this one, 1938 Standard 2 door sedan. For discussion only. The car in the picture is so knocked about, it's difficult to pin down really.

We now have paint! The primer is on, having finished off adding all the small & fiddly bits it's a relief to get the paint started. Pictured is the Stug with the etch schurtzen plates on the right.

Graeme's Tamiya Stug III Ausf G

A bit more done, the lower supports for the schurtzen are on, a bit fiddly to line up & one or two came away and had to be re-attached. Finally got the cupola assembled and in place.

Graeme's Tamiya Stug III Ausf G

A bit more done today, built up the etch schurtzen rails, first folding up the main rails & adding the hooks on the marks. The supports were a bit fiddly, with small braces glued in with CA, then attaching them to the main rails, 2mm long thin wire sections going through holes in both the rails...

Graeme's Tamiya Stug III Ausf G

Simon, it's got a coating on it, not sure what it is! A bit more done today, put the mg shield & hatches on, the shield took a bit of trimming, might need a bit of adjustment yet. The intake grills were a bit large, needing a bit of trimming, but the etch headlight mount went on easily! Started...

Graeme's Tamiya Stug III Ausf G

No' I haven't forgotten this one! I have re started with the etch machine gun shield, this was a bit fiddly, being made up of a number of small etch parts, needs a bit of a clean up when the CA glue has set fully.

    Graeme's Dragon Panther D Kursk 1943

A bit of weathering has been done, a brown wash & mig pigments, light dust & dark mud mixed. A few oil patches & fuel spills have been added, as well as a few muddy patches, to represent someone walking with muddy boots. The one thing I forgot was the tow ropes, something that would have seen a...

    Graeme's Dragon Panther D Kursk 1943

Thanks for the support Guys, the tools & spare tracks are on, one of the turret numbers looks a bit different to the others, the outline looks a bit thicker, not sure why as they are from the same set. I'll just have to live with it as I don't have any more.
