    Graeme's Dragon Panther D Kursk 1943

Thanks Steve, I haven't put the Mig grills on yet, I got sidetracked by the turret! I've managed to build up the turret shell with mantlet without much trouble, the only question being the rain guards over hatches etc. The mantlet has a rain guard over the sight apertures, but this does not seem...

    Graeme's Dragon Panther D Kursk 1943

Thanks Rick, I've finally managed a bit of real progress. The hatches, engine hatch, exhausts & stowage boxes are on, I've put a headlamp on the glacis, but I think Kursk era Panthers should have two, fortunately there's a spare in the kit. Next up is adding the Mig grills for the fans. A couple...

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

I'm calling this one finished, the figure will be done later. A few pictures, I'll do some better when I can do them in daylight. .

    Graeme's Dragon Panther D Kursk 1943

A picture of the, er, rather slow progress. Spot the difference!

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

Having been busy of late, not much progress in the last couple of weeks. The tools & jerrycans have been painted, the hull & turret have had their small details painted, the tyres have had a coat of rubber black. The Jack, fire extinguishers & jerrycans have been added to the hull, areas where...

    Graeme's Dragon Panther D Kursk 1943

I have finally got started on the Panther, now that I'm getting to the end with the Puma. I started with the hull, the instructions tell you to build up the upper hull with the sponson bottoms (the bit above the tracks) attached & attach it to the lower hull. WRONG! There are flanges on the...

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

Thanks Steve, the camo has all three colours, a bit of tidying with the dunkelgelb to do though.

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

A bit more paint, the first coat of the brown for the three colour camouflage.

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

Further progress, we have paint, the first base coat of dunklegelb is done, with wheels, tools & jerrycans in their first coat. The figure is in primer, ready for an attempt at figure painting!

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

Andrew, Richard & Paul, thanks for the kind words, paint should be going on soon! A few more of the small bits & pieces done, the PE for the jerrycan holders is a little fiddly, but I managed to get them done without losing any. The tools have been cleaned up, the fire extinguishers had large...

    Bob's Sturmgeschutz GB Chat thread

Well Here's what I'm planning to do, Tamiya Stug III Ausf G, with a few extras!

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

Thanks Paul. A bit more done, a few of those small bits that take all the time, lights, brackets, width markers etc. Exhaust silencer added to the rear wings, with the ends of the pipes drilled & opened up, end of the kit machine gun barrel had the same treatment, but it's much more fiddly...

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

Not much done since last time, busy with work around the house, a couple of small bits added to the hull, the jerrycans & holders made up, the jack assembled, have to find a bit of time to get on with it!

    Graeme's Dragon Panther D Kursk 1943

Here's my entry, which I will start as soon as I get the Puma for the recon GB somewhere near finished. Dragon Panther Ausf D, Kursk, a few extras, Eduard etch, turned barrel, Panzer Art cupola, Mig grills and magic tracks.

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

Bob, Rick, Steve, Thanks guys. I think the suspension would be very fiddly in 1/87! A bit more progress, the hull has been joined together and the mudguards fitted, a bit of care had to be taken with joining the top & bottom of the hull with not much to locate them together. A couple of...

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

Andy, Rick, Good to have you along, the Puma does seem a bit of a complex beast, look at the suspension & all wheel steering. A bit more progress, the interior is in, ok, it's just a couple of seats, steering & gearlevers. Yes two sets, one for each direction! Next the hull top to attach.

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

A bit more progress, the turret is done, no real issues with it, but the aerial does seem a bit thick. The hull has it's interior (such as it is) fitted & a bit of paint on, just the steering wheels & seats to fit before the hull can be closed.

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

Mick, Lee, Scottie, Jim, Richard, welcome along. The box has Italeri on it, even though Tamiya have added a couple of bits. Progress so far is the suspension is built up, which is rather complicated and needed a fair bit of clean up with flash, mould mismatch. The wheels are assembled & cleaned...

    Graeme's Tamiya Puma

Here's my contribution to the Reconnaissance GB, a Tamiya (ex-Italeri) Sdkfz 234/2 Puma, only extra being an RB model metal barrel. The obligatory box & sprue photos
