Greg's Revell Char B.1 Bis and FT 17

More work done on the Char. I've weathered it, and added the tracks. They might look a bit too rusty for an active service vehicle, but I wanted to experiment :smiling5: I also added some wire hooks on the back, and some chains. I think once the commander is added, this one will be done. On to...

Greg's Revell Char B.1 Bis and FT 17

Started work on this one. Got both the tanks together, and started painting the Char B. So far so good, decals and weathering to follow. I'll be using the buildings that come with the kit, but will have them on a bigger base, so I can fit some scenery in. The Char B will be on it's way down...

Greg's Revell Char B.1 Bis and FT 17

Hi all, I've wanted to pick up this kit for years - early war tanks have always been an interest for me. So this seems like the perfect opportunity! I've got a few little diorama ideas, and at the moment I'm not sure whether to go for a French or a German paint scheme. I may or may not...

    1/144 - 'Bridgehead' - Iraq 2003

Hi all, I've finished work on my 1/144 diorama set, and hopefully have done it some justice! It depicts two T-72s of the Iraqi Army in 2003 guarding a bridge over a canal. One of the vehicles is dug in, while a soldier behind it inspects supplies and a newly delivered DShK machine-gun. A...

    1/144 - 'Bridgehead' - Iraq 2003

Bit more work done on this one. The river is in place, and the tanks have been painted. Next up is the figures; I've included a coin in the image to show the scale. These are going to be tricky! :smiling5:

    1/144 - 'Bridgehead' - Iraq 2003

Some work on the terrain has been done using standard acrylic paints, and the tanks have been primed. I'm going to attempt some water in the river next, and I'll have to think about 1/144 scale vegetation at some point! Greg

    1/144 - 'Bridgehead' - Iraq 2003

Hi all, A recent find on eBay, I picked up a very small diorama set from MiniHobbyModels, which for £10 I thought was worth a go. I've never done 1/144 before, and I do like sets like this! The set comes with a circular diorama base in a dome for display, and two T-72s, some infantry, and some...

    "A Hasty Defence" - 1/72 T-28 diorama

Hi all, Something I've been working on for the last few weeks, a 1/72 T-28 from Trumpeter, which I've built a small diorama for. The scene depicts a hastily dug defensive line of the outskirts of a Russian village, dug by the Soviets in preparation for the German advance in the summer of 1941...

Greg's Trumpeter Stug III Ausf E - 1/72- (Stug GB)

Hi all, I think I'm finished with this one. It's been a nice experiment into water (trickier than I thought, but I think it's come out okay for a first effort). A fun little kit overall, depicted here crossing a small stream with a few infantrymen following close behind. Any feedback or tips...

    Greg's Trumpeter Stug III Ausf E - 1/72

Well, the water sort of works. It's clear and looks wet, but some texture is needed! So I've ordered some water effects paint, to give it a bit of movement. To be continued...

    Greg's Trumpeter Stug III Ausf E - 1/72

Thank you chaps! I've made a start on the base, I'll be giving water a go for the first time. Probably shouldn't have the vehicle in the water for a first time attempt, but ah well!

    Greg's Trumpeter Stug III Ausf E - 1/72

Tracks are on, paint and decals done and a bit of weathering. Time to start on the base.

    Greg's Trumpeter Stug III Ausf E - 1/72

Progress so far, all put together, Had to look up what the hole in the top was for... :smiling5: And with a lick of Panzer Grau:

    Greg's Trumpeter Stug III Ausf E - 1/72

Hi all, Thought I'd join in for this one too; I picked up a Trumpeter Stug in 1/72. Not the most complex looking kit (I think 90% of it is wheels), but hopefully it'll go together nice enough, and will be a good excuse to get more practice on display bases!

Greg's RPM Staghound in 1/72 - (Animal Antics GB)

Hi all, Finally done with this one. A nice little kit, depicted here being escorted by some paras, making a cautious advance through an abandoned German position. As always, any comments, tips and constructive criticism are welcome! Thanks, Greg

    Greg's RPM 1/72 Staghound

Decals are on and a few more details painted. Also started on a bit of a display base for it, I'm going to add a few figures and some clutter which'll hopefully bring things together nicely.

    Greg's RPM 1/72 Staghound

A lick of paint, and it's starting to come together.

    Greg's RPM 1/72 Staghound

And another two. We've had some disagreements, but it's getting there!

    Greg's RPM 1/72 Staghound

Some slight progress made. It's actually a surprisingly detailed kit, and set to be absolutely covered in tools, boxes, accessories etc.

    Greg's RPM 1/72 Staghound

Hi all, Hope it's alright to put an entry in here, I've dug this one out of the stash box and fancied giving it a crack! EDIT: Turns out the King Tiger from Italeri was.....bad. Very low detail, bad moulding, and once it was all put together, the tracks started snapping. It wasn't really any...
