Hi simple mistake but I've managed to deposit some liquid poly on my nearly completed BF109G canopy. I would be grateful for any tips on how to remove it without damaging the canopy.

    Newly promoted workstation!

Well it's finally happened I've been promoted. No more in the garden room with temperatures varying from 0c in the winter to 40c in the summer. My youngest daughter moved out last week and as a result her bedroom became vacant. So I have moved up there lock stock and barrel. It's still a work in...

    Hasegawa Fiesler Storch Grand Sasso

The Storch is finally finished after 5 months. There was a bit of a hiccup in January when I lost my Mojo but now I'm please to say that it has fully returned. The Storch was a relatively simple build with only the under cart and wing attachment being a bit of a fiddle. This one was straight...

Flixton Aircraft Museum ROYAL OBSERVER CORPS’Open Day

Hi All I visited The Flixton aircraft museum over the W/E as they had an open day. I took a few photos of the classic cars, bikes and static planes. They also had 'The Super Swing Band' playing all the glenn Miller classic tunes in the main hanger. There was a fly past of the B.B.M.F Dekota and...

    Revell 1/32 He162 'salamander'

Well here's a departure from my usual builds this one's got no prop. I found this in my local toy shop for £15 which is a fare price and the first time I've seen the kit locally. The moulds date back to 2004 so not too old but there's some flash evident. The kit comprises of only three sprus and...

    Revell 1/32 P39D Airacobra

Well I was going to buy this new release from Revell but a little 'birdy', much talked about on other forums, has told me that it's just a re-boxing of a Special Hobbys kit. I was getting really excited about this one with the knowledge that all of Revells' most resent releases have been brand...

    Hasegawa 1/32 P47D Republic Thunderbolt

I've made a start on the Thunderbolt, it's a big kit and will look impressive on the shelf when finished. I won't be building the 'Gabby' version as most people tend to do, so I've opted for Maj. Glenn T. Eagleston's Thunderbolt with the skull and cross bones nose art. This ones going to be a...

    Pre-shading Metallics

Hi has anyone got some advice on how to pre-shade panel lines when using metallic paints?. I have given it a go using black but all that happens is that as soon as you spray over the black it disappears. Will I have to just rely on post shading using a wash? Vaughan
