3D printed Eager Beaver EOD model (1:35)

Eager Beaver EOD with early model "wheelbarrow" - this is the armoured cab / remote control version. The actual cab is a bit of a guesswork as I've only found 3 different photos to base it on - one below. The wheelbarrow is based on the one at the RLC museum at Worthy Down and is a...

    Zvezda 1:35 Sd.Kfz. 184 "Ferdinand"

Straight box build - not a bad kit - no fit issues - Link & Length tracks much better than some other manufacturers' efforts.

1:35 Scale 3D printed Eager Beaver

Redesigned the 1:76 version from scratch after visiting the Royal Logistics Corps museum at Worthy Down and taking numerous photos of the original there. Improvements include a correct design for the lift tower and a skeletal framework for the chassis. The wheels have been redesigned to better...

Airborne's Falklands GB candidate - Sgt Mather MM

same figure - I didn't use the included base as it didn't feel right - I use a piece of slate as the basis.

Airborne's Falklands GB candidate - Sgt Mather MM

I had the same issue with the rifle - in my case the barrel had snapped off so I replaced it with some brass.

Eager Beaver forklift in 1/76th scale

I needed a couple of Eager Beaver forklifts for a Falklands conflict diorama and couldn't find anything suitable on offer so I decided to try my hand at designing from scratch & 3D printing. OK, so they may not be totally accurate as I only had photos to go on and no dimensions, but at 1/76th...

    Zvezda 1:35 URAL 4320 Truck

Finished for the Russian/Afghan conflict - built OOB with largely self designed 3D printed stowage and a ZPU-1 from MENG. Figures for scale.

    Asuka 1/36 Sherman IC Firefly

Asuka 1:35 Sherman IC Firefly - built out of the box except for the crew which are from the MiniArt Brish tank crew in winter uniforms. Quite impressed with the kit overall - good fit and seems fairly accurate. Lots of left overs including a complete set of wheels.

AFV Club Scimitar CVR/T - backdated to Falklands Era

Hi - I completely forgot that I started a build post for this ages ago - this is the AFV Club Scimitar CVR/T backdated to Falklands spec with some SMM parts and scratch build - the crew are from Accurate Armour . This is the finished article - awaiting a suitable base (and appropriate...

    Tamiya 1:35 Marder III

Nice kit - started out using the Eduard PE set but ran out of patience with the tiny PE parts!

    Tamiya 1:48 T34-85 - "Stompie"

Built for a club competition with a theme of "Blue Moon" while house-sitting for my daughter & son-in-law. Straight box build as I had a very limited set of tools - a really nice little kit. And the inspiration:-

    Italeri Crusader Mk II (1:35)

Straight box build apart from adding the missing side rail and some stowage. Not a bad kit at least it looks like a Crusader - not sure why they made the suspension so complicated when it is completely hidden.

Hobby Boss 1:35 Leopard 2A6M CAN

I use a folding light box similar to the one below - it is about a 60cm cube when assembled and has two adjustable brightness LED lighting strips - mine was from an Amazon seller. The camera is a DSLR on a tripod - I use aperture priority with a small aperture so the exposure is quite long...

AFV Club FV107 Scimitar CVR/T Falklands era

Decided to fill in some time by doing the crew (Accurate Armour) figures... Dunno if I've done them justice - the close ups pick out every little error!

AFV Club FV107 Scimitar CVR/T Falklands era

Opened the replacement "early" suspension and stalled ... one piece missing and one piece duplicated - I emailed Michael at SMM and he's sending me a replacement (excellent service)

AFV Club FV107 Scimitar CVR/T Falklands era

First I had to replace the hinged transmission cover with the SMM bolted version

AFV Club FV107 Scimitar CVR/T Falklands era

Finally made a start on this as part of a club "Falklands 40" build thread. AFV Club Scimitar - the kit is for a late (Bosnia/Gulf) era vehicle but I'm using SMM resin and Fruil tracks to backdate to a Falklands era vehicle:

Hobby Boss 1:35 Leopard 2A6M CAN

Initial Afghanistan deployment before installation of Barracuda thermal camouflage. Built OOB with no issues with the basic kit but the bar armour could have been better engineered especially suggesting that square holes are drilled! At least the full size bar armour isn't always fitted...
