    Mirage Hobby - 1:35 Vickers-Armstrong 6-Ton Light Tank - Complete

Hi finally dusted & rusted! Tracks turned out to be pretty fragile so some CA glue required to keep them in place. Not happy with the lights but no time to sort them now. Mark

    Airfix 1:72 C130J Hercules circa 1971 - clear parts

Hi I've been given this by my father-in-law - note the price of 21 shillings and sixpence : Its a rescue job... The biggest issues I have is with the clear parts and the decals. The main cockpit transparency is OK but a lot of the smaller parts have been glued in and have cement marks -...

Undercarriage & Tracks on and a quick slosh over of a muddy wash to tone down the colours a bit still wet in these pictures so it looks a bit harsh - pigments next

Base coat on turret & hull - MIG Russian "oil ochre" is a good match to the museum yellow base - it's slightly more orange in daylight

    Mirage Hobby - 1:35 Vickers-Armstrong 6-Ton Light Tank

Hi Steve just started the "knitting..." The tracks are actually really nicely moulded despite the 3 point attachments - but they do need gluing as they don't clip together

    Mirage Hobby - 1:35 Vickers-Armstrong 6-Ton Light Tank

Hi Dave - I really should read the signage at Bovington when I take photos! however there are a few pictures online of tanks in Polish service with the 3-colour scheme - these below seem to be 'E's - one modified with the large air intake and one unmodified I've made a start on the turret...

    Mirage Hobby - 1:35 Vickers-Armstrong 6-Ton Light Tank

Build starts with the mantlet and guns: First problem: And the machine gun housing doesn't look right against the original: And the turret has no rivet detail where the original is very obvious and that's just the first 6 parts!

    Revell 1:72 Warrior MCV

L&L tracks fitted and base coat on the hull & turret I'm going with the camo scheme on the box but the colours don't seem to look right against reference sho so I'm using Valejo model air "US camouflage brown" for the tan colour and "NATO green" for the green. The white balance is a bit out on...

    Revell 1:72 Warrior MCV

Hull and Turret primed. - antennae look too thick - might have to replace them... Side plates ready for link & Length tracks - I like the separate side panels as it means I can get the tracks on after basic painting but not have to mask the lower half
