    Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker B Trumpeter Scale 1:32

Hello, just another "step" , more putty, more sanding and scribing. I think after each "interaction" it looks better, don't you? ;) How many more steps before I glue wings on? As many as needed. :smiling:

Hello again, there was another round of putty, sanding and now NEW for me totally, re-scribing panel lines. When I tried first time, :smiling: I did not have proper tools, now it is different story, still hard but kind of doable. ;) Now primer again and then final look.

Hello, here is some progress, after lots of sanding and puttying and some primer. Now I can see where bad areas are and redo these again. :-) Seems like a repetitive process but it is fun to see things getting better (or worse sometimes as well)

OK, as the time passed by..... I managed to cover these ugly holes and panel lines I scribed. Now, redoing rivets and panels line again. This bottom panel line is a challenge, a real one, the re-scrubbing tape does not want to curve that much, neither Tamiya narrow masking tape. Have to try by...

Hello my friends. :smiling: There is no shame to show your mistakes. Below you see how bad it is now. Let's see if I can make it better. I will need to put more putty in certain spots as the step is still visible. I have learned that when you do putty thing, you rather fill up where the step...

Another QUESTION: :cold-sweat: After I sanded the joint and saw the result, I could put more putty and sand again, but height difference is so big that I would have to put putty on more area and cover more panel lines and rivets which I do not think I should do. Actually, I think it does not...

Time for QUESTIONS for my gurus. ;) I. I got this Eduard masks, see screenshots. How do I separate them as the lines are barely visible? is there any special technique for it? As some of you know, my canopy is broken in pieces and glued together so no matter what I do cracks after gluing it...

Hello again, I am NOT gone or nor I quit. :tears-of-joy: :nerd: :nerd: New updates. Marked the places where cross sections are in Blender for my X-Plane simulator model. On the screenshot you see the started work in Blender. Fun, just needs a lot of time to make it look good, just like in...

Today I was gluing together one of the missiles and what a great learning experience. 1. I was amazed to find out that working on these little parts was actually manageable. I think fingers get used to handle these tiny parts and of course with the help of tweezers one can do the job (read, me...

As some of you know I am making the model of SU-27 for X-Plane Flight Simulator and that scale model project is also a help for me to determine how to create 3D model in Blender. Did a lot of dry fitting to see how components go together, believe it or not, it is a BIG help for me.

Hello again, I was trying really hard, but I CAN NOT figure it out. I tried to use some conversion charts but no luck. I want to use Vallejo Acrylic Paint on SU-27 Flanker B by Trumpeter 1:32 scale. Could you tell me a Vallejo numbers for at least the main camo colors, light grey, dark grey...

Today I decided to repaint the air brake cavity and nose wheel well with PROPER color. I does not look too bad, I like it. After it dries, I am going to put Satin coat, let it dry and wash with Flory Dark Dirt Wash. Maybe it will look better than first time.

Today, I made an experiment. I did not like old wash as it was erased from the flat surface too much and I want some areas to be more "dirty" I learned that it was because I used very glossy surface for Flory Wash. What I love about Flory Wash is that you can almost entirely remove it except...

Hello, the fun continues. Fuselage glued just fine, added more glue inside to make sure all is connected. Sanding, sanding and more sanding, dry fitting things, it will have to be good and symmetrical. I think I will do more final sanding of the fuselage and glue in wings, then nose cone...

Fuselage halves glued together!!!!!! :smiling: How was the experience? I would say..................hmmmm..... intense. Trying to apply glue and holding pieces when they were trying to pull apart from each other. Next, I will reinforce from inside adding more glue, when dry I will prepare...

Next step, joining fuselage halves. VERY exciting. And here goes my first wash, yes, I know, super ugly but I will do it a bit better, later on. It is Flory's wash; I think I like it. :tongue-out3:

I was shaking that primer, shaking and shaking some more. These marks do not look good to me. Something was wrong with it in the past, it is either old or, no idea.... I will not use it, afraid to mess things up. What do you guys think? Agree that better safe than sorry?

The area you see circled on the attached screenshot, is painted (wrong color by the way but as I was not a member of the forums, I did not know....) with Vallejo Air and then with Vallejo Gloss (thick layer as you see) I want to do wash using Flory's wash coming soon and I want to try Dry Brush...

I have learnt something... the paint adheres much better when there is a primer underneath. Duh. Lol. Maybe that is why some people suggest using primer all the time. ;)
