    Tamiya 1/48 P38G Lightning

What a great kit this is! Amazing fit, great fun! Working it for a group build in parallel with my Beaufort.

    Airfix’s Bristol Beaufort mk1

New tooling for 2021, picked one up and it’s a great little kit. I’m adding a few bits and bobs in the cockpit, cables and some maps etc. But it’s been fun so far!

    Revell 1/32 Vought Corsair

Had this on the bench for a long time, uninspired by the kit. But then last week once it was built I really enjoyed the painting process and in the end really had fun with it!

    Revell 1/72 Focke Wulf 190

Had this finished a little while ago but forgot to post! I think it came out ok, but only problem was with the undercarriage, not sure it is correct and no matter how I tried I could t get that characteristic lean on the struts without compromising something else. It is what it is i guess.

    Revell Focke Wulf 190 f-8

It’s come on a treat, the decal fixer has eaten my fuselage black cross though...not sure why.

    Revell bf109 F-2 ‘Black 7’

Lt. Horst Budenhagen’s Black 7. Loved the decal set for this, so many little touches it took all day to get them all on!

    Revell Focke Wulf 190 f-8

Working this little 1/72 190 as a second project at the moment. Lovely little decal set for the cockpit.

    2nd BF109F-2

Needed a mottling on the fuselage this time and a strict linear camo top side. Did some pre-shading which has added a little more character under the blue rlm underside.

    2nd BF109F-2

    Some cockpit shots.

    2nd BF109F-2

I enjoyed the last one so much I am doing another :-) No Eduard set this time so just some light dry brushing in the cockpit. Decided to go with recreating Horst Budenhagens Black 7.

    Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk.vb

Spit complete! Thoroughly enjoyed this one.

    Airfix Lancaster BII 1/72

The question came up about where to put the beast so I decided...diorama (or at least a themed base) so...here it is. Tyre tracks, grass, tufts and engine oil stains added.

    1/72 Airfix Spitfire Mk. Vb

Perhaps predictably it’s Spitfire time! I’ve honed my airbrush skills a little and am happy so far with the job. Tried to be a little more patient with masking on canopies and not make the mistakes I made on the last 109. So far so good.

    Airfix Lancaster BII 1/72

    It is...finished!

Airfix Bf 109 F-2 is complete.

It’s done. I like it but it was tough and has many faults. Still, model no.2 after all this time it’s not too bad :-)

    Airfix bf109 F-2 Progress.

I ruined the first paint by letting a wash dry on this plane so had to re-paint it. It now has a lot of paint on it... but I still like it. Has an Eduard cockpit set and I think it’s looking ok. Just need to finish off the canopy and a few bits and pieces.

    First build in 35 years...

Update! I ruined the underside with poor glossing but managed to bring it back. I also lost a wheel so had to wait for Eduard replacements. Just a couple of bits to do now.

New build; Revell 109F-2 1:78 Eduard Cockpit

I have discovered the new fangled aftermarket photoetch fad! So, in my naivety I went for a 1:72 scale 109 with the eduard cockpit photoetch pack. It is small. That is an understatement. IT IS TINY! However, eye strain aside, I am pretty pleased with the outcome so far. Only complex bend was...
