Revell paint colour 'sky'
Hello all. I have a revell kit (raf ventura) and i cannot find an equivalent paint colour for 'revell sky' i like to use tamiya or mr hobby paints. Its also titled FS3504. Simply don't wish to use revell paints because they won't fit in my little tidy paint cabinet( i think they come in 20ml...- Olivetti20

Thinning ratio for tamiya paint sparing
I've finally got my airbrush working for my 1st go at spraying. I'm unsure as to the ratio of thinners/paint i should use.I've tried spraying the underside of a 1/48 Hornet,and ive already filled the cup 4 times,with a mix of 50/50. Diecast toe dipping
Hi all. Ive just purchased a couple of diecast toys to tart up(lots of vids on fbook about it).Just wondering if anyone on here does it too.I'd like to know where to shop for replacement wheels,tyres and decals etc.also i need tips for removing rivets and replacing if necessary. Spray gun not working
Hello all. Ive just received this gun,its only a cheapo i wanted to try out before spending over £100 on a decent one. Anyway,i cannot get any paint to run through this.PSI is set at 20 and ive tried adjusting valves all ways.Ive mixed tamiya paint 2 to 1 thinners.and tried it with paint lid on...- Olivetti20

Lessons learned from my almost complete build.
1,don't use cutters on tiny parts..the shock can(has) break them. 2,.Avoid adding delicate parts too early on. 3-attach canopy at the last minute(and don't get glue on it. I'll post pics when complete and ask advice on the way. Including why my decals are coming off and what glue to use on...- Olivetti20

Propeller tip painting
Ive just noticed there are no drawings relating to painting the yellow tips on my Tamiya Focke Wulf propeller..Silly question but are the tips not painted yellow in the 1st place?and if they are,then how far do you paint them in from the tips. Skill levels for model kits
Ive just received my Tamiya 1/48 Focke Wulf kit,and as im returning to this hobby since my childhood i an quite surprised that this model has less than 50 components,whereas an airfix spitfire kit 1/72 scale seemed to have a simular number of components,i notice Revell have a skill level rating...- Olivetti20

Desk lights
Hi All I'm new to the game and still awaiting my 1st kit.My question is,what makes and suppliers of desk work lights do you use for modelling?also or magnifier/light combos the way to go. I'll be working on my desk in the lounge and don't really want to put 'big light'on! Thanks- Olivetti20

Prob 50 yrs since i badly constructed airfix kits,and now in 3 month lockdown its time to keep occupied.my 1st questions are.. Where(online) do you buy your airplane kits?
