    Brian's Caldercraft 1/72 HMS Victory

Brian, all I can do is add to the plaudits you have already deservedly received. An amazing test of skill and patience with a beautiful outcome. Nick.

Nick's Airfix 1/72 F14A Tomcat - Geoffers US Icons Group Build

Not huge progress, but with a couple of other builds reaching the point where progress needs to be more measured, and the hot weather sending me looking for things to do where I can keep relatively cool, here's where I'm at... Wings and vertical stabilisers are made up of two parts with one of...

Nick's Airfix 1/72 F14A Tomcat - Geoffers US Icons Group Build

Well, here are the photos I couldn't add to the original post. Transparencies..... the stand will come in handy! Decals. These will be getting replaced. Haven't decided on the scheme yet, but there appear to be a myriad options out there..... These are the kit schemes. Seems amazing now...

Nick's Airfix 1/72 F14A Tomcat - Geoffers US Icons Group Build

I hadn't expected to start this for the next couple of weeks, but with this hot weather, my model room is the coolest place in the house! And my workshop where the airbrushing goes on is second coolest. I can't imagine there's anyone on here that hasn't heard of the F14 or seen the 'iconic'...

Nick's Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk XIV.

Managed to get the rest of the decals on and a clear-coat over the top ready for the next stages. This is as far as she'll get for a couple of weeks or so as the wife and I are off on our Euro road trip. That will give the gloss clear plenty of time to cure. Thanks for looking in and staying...

    Revell 1/48 De Haviland Mosquito B Mk.IV

You've certainly done better than me with this kit Steve. I got so fed up with my attempt that it ended up as my paint mule. Well done I think. Nick

    Tamiya SAS jeep 1/35

Really like what you're doing with this one Tony. Do you think the experience will lead to more vehicle builds? Nick

That's a good shout Colin. Thanks. Nick.

Nick's Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk XIV.

Thanks Gents. I have managed to move this along a bit further. I got the leading edges painted in yellow and the canopy framing in silver as called out by the painting guide provided in the Airfix instructions....... A little later, I made a tentative start on the decals.... Hmmm.... that...

Nick's Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk XIV.

I got some dark green on the airframe this past week and she's now masked up ready to apply some paint to the leading edges of the wings (yellow) and canopy framing (silver). Thanks for looking in. Nick

Nick's Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk XIV.

This week's meagre progress - got the ocean grey on the topside..... Thanks to all who are still with me on this one. Nick

    1/48 ESCI Henschel hs 129

Just caught up with this one Tony. Great work. I've always liked this aircraft since building the old Airfix one. I still have an unbuilt one of those, plus a Hobby2000 example.... Nick

    Airbrushing Chrome Liquid

I like the LP48 too. I've also been using AK Superchrome which is rather expensive but does work rather well. Its almost like the shine floats to the surface as it dries. Nick

Welcome to this Anniversary GB, 90 years of Spitfires.

Thanks Colin. Mine is still on the go albeit rather slowly....... Nick

Nick's Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk XIV.

Well Guys, apologies again for the lack of updates. I have a number of excuses prepared, ranging from going back to work for a couple of days a week through the summer, planning a Euro road-trip and my poor old Mum falling over and breaking her arm. I have been making a bit of progress however...

    Workbench, show us yours

'That Time' arrived earlier this month. Family coming to stay and smallest Grandchild now moved from a cot to a bed. This is the first time I've had to dismantle my work area since I put it together in 2019. Most of it went into a couple of large plastic crates and after moving out the bench and...

    U.S.Icons Group Build - Do’s and Don’ts

Well, I have committed to this one although my track record on Group Builds this year has been woeful when it comes to getting them finished within the timeframe. I had a look to see what was 'in stock' and could only come up with a couple that are both 'American' and 'Iconic'. Therefore, it...
