No matter how carefully you sand and fill seams primer always shows more work. Last night I went over any imperfections with Mr Dissolved Putty and, this morning I sanded them down, working down sanding sponge grades. The canopy parts have ‘come through’ OK so I have progressed the build with a black primer coat. I will check for flaws tomorrow, deal with them, reprime, check, reprime again if necessary, then use a polishing sponge to make sure the surface is perfectly smooth.- BarryW

Yes Tim, thanks. I am aware. I positioned it there because the instructions say 60gms in the nose cone but there is not really enough room, hence trying it a little further back, where I did. A quick one. I measured our 60grams of liquid gravity into a shot glass and balanced that on the nose! Perfect. I now know how much I need to use. A bit too much to fit into the nose itself (as Trumpy suggest) but it clearly works a bit further back.- BarryW

Fitting the cockpit into the two fuselage halves is a little complex but with some dry fitting to work out how to best fit it, it goes in well with no fit issues whatsoever. Lots of clamping is needed.- BarryW

I opened the Eduard photo etch instrument panel set. I did have a go, at least to see if I could use some of it to get a better ip than the kit offers. But, sadly, for me it’s a total waste of time, totally impractical as it requires lots of bending and lots of small etch that need gluing on...- BarryW

The nose wheel floor has a lot of shallow extractor pin marks. I used Mr Dissolved Putty on these. Incidentally that photo initially failed to load but I managed it by emailing it to me and reducing its size that way. I really don’t know why suddenly this has become an issue.- BarryW
