    Peter's M706 Commando Armoured Car - Hobby Boss - 1:35

The main build is now done, paint did not come out too bad, not perfect, but considering I paint with a brush its ok, I just accept its never gonna be as good as an airbrush finish and move on, life's too short, etc. Lol... Next up will be a varnish coat, then on to the decals.... before...

US Vietnam based figures in 1:35

Well have tidied up the figures, now have a selection of 10 to choose from for my little Vietnam Diorama, although I probably will not use them all. They still need a bit more tidying up, the ladies bright colours will need at least one more coat, the troops are pretty much done though, some...

    Brands

Maybe I've been lucky but don't think I've had a "bad" kit since I got back into the hobby. Yes, I've had some kits that were more challenging than others, but nothing drastic TBH. In the last 18/24 months I've built kits from Airfix, Tamiya, Dragon, Academy, Revell, IBG, Matchbox, Italeri...

    Vietnam Diorama - 1:35 - US troops/vehicles, etc

Ordered some "jungle" plants a while back and they have now arrived, so did a quick dry fit to see how they look.... The pack has loads, I think about 50 separate items, so I picked out the ones that I think look most jungle like and/or suitable for a Vietnam scenario, so few ferns, bamboo type...

US Vietnam based figures in 1:35

Little update on some of the US Vietnam figures, which will go in my US Vietnam Diorama (separate thread for that). Have started on the colour scheme for the "ladies" and also did bit more on their chaperone and the two "keen" US squaddies who are, shall we say soliciting their services...

    Peter's M706 Commando Armoured Car - Hobby Boss - 1:35

More progress made today, got all the access hatches/doors, etc on today.... Decided to go with most hatches open, just kept a couple closed. Plus lots of the little details, handles, lifting points/hooks, etc. The turret simply would not fit, so had to cut off the two little tabs that normally...

    Newby (well, almost)

Think the biggest change I noticed coming back to the hobby after several decades, was the adhesive, Tamiya Extra thin was a total game changer for me, fantastic stuff, no mess, fast acting, etc.

    ???

Agreed, and the Drake Equation tells us how likely it is for there to be other intelligent life out there...... but the Fermi Paradox also tells us why we'll probably never meet them.... Just saying like..... I'll get me coat.... 8-)
