Red Arrows Hawk. What paint did you use ?

Made my own masks and painted most of them, the roundals and wing walkways were decals from the kit.

Red Arrows ‘What if’ EE Lightning. Airfix 1/48th.

Not a build from the newly released Lightning, build a few years ago on a whim as I was bored with ‘grey’ jets, markings are masked and painted in the main, with a few of the kit decals used. Xtracolor Red Arrows Red. Shown alongside a Hasegawa Phantom.

    Airfix 1/72 Wessex

New tool Wessex from Airfix is a cracking little kit, goes together really well with care, folding rotors are a challenge and really need to check how they fold as Airfix publicly shots have got it wrong!!

Red Arrows Hawk. What paint did you use ?

I Hi Colin, did a Red Arrows ‘What if’ a few years ago and used Xtracolor Red Arrows Red, X014, it’s an enamel so not to everyone’s taste, but a good match.

    Airfix 1/72 Mosquito PR XVl

Next on the bench is the Mossie, l thought I’d follow yak face and add some Eduard PE, It is a fiddle but adds so much but instead of folding 1mm square boxes I built up the boxes with plastic card and popped the PE panels on top! Close to closing up, just a few holes to drill out.

    Airfix B17G 1/72 Milk Wagon.

Love the Airfix kit of the Fortress, and I’ve built a few, this ones markings are appropriate because I’m a dairy farmer! SMS acrylic laquers for the NMF, MrHobby for the rest.

    Tamiya M18 Hellcat 1/35

Great break from aero modelling, typical Tamiya, great fit and details, added some stowage from value gear and painted with various shades of olive drab, weathered with oils and pastels.

1/72 Airfix Sea King gift set. First post.

Started as a ‘quick fill in’ between bigger projects, this soon became an obsession, lovely little kit and superb detail for the scale, few added details and painted with Xtracolor enamels.
