    Modelling data mining......

Actually, that’s a good point. I do have paint lists so I know what I do and don’t have. My record collection is listed on a spreadsheet though. Stops me buying what I already have…..

    Modelling data mining......

All seems a bit like hard work to me. I keep a set of notes for paint use during ongoing projects though, just in case I want to paint more figures for it in the future, but it’s not slavishly documented.

    Which airbrush would you buy?

Absolutely right Jim. Get a test mule and spray the hell out of it…..

    Brian's Sovereign of the seas

Won’t it look a bit weird if you change wood halfway down, bit like an open sandwich, or will they be coloured the same?

    Which airbrush would you buy?

Air on first and off last should eliminate this. It’s useful if you are just using the device as a spray gun, but not if you are using it as a brush. Advanced techniques like Weathering streaks or WW2 German mottle camo etc require you to start on the workpiece so this isn’t feasible.

    Which airbrush would you buy?

I use it occasionally, usually to clear blockages when using acrylics….

    Hi, Newbie here.

    Welcome aboard mate 👍

    Compressor leak.

What Jim says. If you don’t do this you will have a mild steel vessel with water in it. That’s a recipe for corrosion. In addition you will generate more moisture in warm humid conditions. My Iwatta compressor is tankless, but I generate probably 5 ml condensation during every spray...

28mm Perry figures French Napoleonic Fusiliers

Must admit that’s why I put that shot in. Everyone relates to the bottle so can easily visualise the size. Glad you like them.

    Thanks mate. Very humbling comments.

    Which airbrush would you buy?

Airbrushing is something that almost all modellers do slightly differently to the next guy. Despite this, we all get it to work. The point of this comment is to say what a video tells you works for them may not work for you, so do not be scared to experiment. From my perspective, I’ve...

28mm Perry figures French Napoleonic Fusiliers

Cheers John. Yes I do game with them, but not as often as I’d like.

28mm Perry figures French Napoleonic Fusiliers

No hope on the vision Richard. I have a minus 8 prescription and about three diopters of astigmatism. I tend to work “over” my glasses, as advised by my optician. Apparently I’m so short sighted I’ve got about 2.5 times magnification when working at around six inches….

Cheers Joe. Compared with some I’ve done they are quite large 😄

    Which airbrush would you buy?

Still need somewhere to spray or you’ll get overspray all over your room….

    Which airbrush would you buy?

Missed this while I was typing…..would have saved my fingers if I had LOL.

    Which airbrush would you buy?

Cleaner thinner will depend on paint type. Me, I use Mr levelling thinner as thinner and cleaner, but I use Tamiya/Mr Color paints. Next quest, where are you going to spray?

    Which airbrush would you buy?

Nozzles and needles are only useable on that manufacturers brush model as far as I’m aware. Those compressors (AS186?) are very common and seem to be found rebadged under many names and at many price points. Probably all extremely similar. If that’s what you are after (many people get on...
