Looking very shipshape Jim. Nice detail including the 37mm as well.

    Thanks Tony, appreciate the concern.

Yep, I really think it has Geoff. I still tire easily at the moment but it’s better than having to stop because it just hurts too much to carry on walking.

Going very well Andy. It occasionally plateaus but moves fowards again after a couple of days. Most of it now is about regaining strength and stamina that I lost over the last year or so.

Cheers bud. Yes it does, and it gives you the confidence not to limp on each step.

Thanks John. Best thing the stick does is teach you to walk without a limp. Still building up stamina at the moment so it goes out with me even if it doesn’t get used.

Thanks Paul. I’m on top of most of this. My stick is basically a walking pole, having the side grip if I need it, but I have set it up as a walking aid. Biggest issue with sticks is that people don’t set the length correctly. The top of the stick is apparently supposed to be at wrist height...

Certainly is Joe. It comes on slowly, so we adjust. It’s only when no more adjustment is possible that we really notice. Going through three boxes of paracetamol, or even stronger pain meds towards the end, is really no joke. Sue and I used to do specific “paracetamol runs”, going to...

Hi all. Quick update. Five weeks on and all is great. I am up to 5000 plus steps a day (about two miles in old money), getting stronger, off crutches, just use a stick while out as support if I tire, and am taking no painkillers. I expect to be pretty much normal in a few weeks, which is...

That’s coming on well Tony. Like the landing light conversion as well. The Japanese idea of clear bulbs in coloured acetate is far more logical than the British idea of coloured bulbs in clear acetate isn’t it. Far less spare bulb types needed in stores.

Er, this is a modelling site mate, not a footy fan site. I think you might have joined in error 😄. Hope your team does well this year though 👍

    Masking.

Tamiya here too, but I have also used blue tack, magic putty, damp paper, and even marmite, on occasion. Each has its merits and advantages/disadvantages and is suitable for different tasks. By far the most used is Tamiya tape in conjunction with magic putty though. Tamiya is great for...
