    Looking good; the mottling is coming through well. Are the pylons fixed already? Most kits seem to have teeny-tiny decals for those, so do you put those on after the pylons are already fitted?

    I think you've got the level of weathering just right there, Geoff, that is a lovely little aircraft and finish - I may add this to the list for when I finally start reducing my stash (at current rate, somewhere around 2035) - so before HS2 anyway.

    I have a Tamiya or two - I'm provisionally in. I have an RAF Mustang, which I was thinking of doing in the US Icons. This would be a good GB for it. I may have a 109 as well. So yeah, count me in.

    Wow, they really are tiny - and then you do major surgery on them too? I stick to 1/48 generally to avoid the fiddly bits in 1/72 - I have no idea how you work on these, but I am very impressed nonetheless.

    No no, the one that isn't painted is the GB. The half-complete one is my 2016 Mig-21 GB :) The unpainted one with masking tape is the GB. Next task is to sort out the brass rod for in-flight.

    If you look at the chat thread, I have comments in there! I am still 'building' that Mig-21 too! I'll add a pic tomorrow, but life interrupted that build at the time - I may go ahead and finish it after this one is complete. TBH, it is probably 3/4 complete now so I do not have a good excuse.

    Proud parent....update on Junior

    Belated congrats to Junior - doing a degree now is a lot different to my day when the grant covered everything, so that is a whole lot of extra stress. But those grades are outstanding; best of luck for a long and fulfilling future career for Junior.
