I see Chick Norris is dead

As an actor he made Elvis look animated…..but each to his own I suppose.

    Tamiya 1/48 Mosquito FB Mk.VI.

Very nice result there bud. Not one of the easiest Tamiya kits in my experience, and your build is lovely.

    Airfix 1/48th SEA KING HC4

Fabulous. What a great result! Crisp finish on a very busy subject.

    Brian's Caldercraft 1/72 HMS Victory

This is wonderful work. Superbly rendered and absolutely fascinating. The way the small bits gradually add to the impact of the whole ship is an object lesson in detailing. Truly inspiring Bri. Love it 👍

    Andy's 1/48 Spitfire Mk1a

Funnily enough, I alway like aircraft with a slight semi gloss myself, seems to bring out the shape of the airframe. Did a spitfire in flat matt once and it just looked dead…… Are you going to try and strip the Eduard decals on the 1/48?

Does a 3D Printing section exist here?

Found it….pretty expensive though, and I’ve no idea of quality…...

Does a 3D Printing section exist here?

I’m pretty sure Babe and Stan and the car are available as a kit for Fresh fish somewhere….I’m almost sure I’ve seen it, just can’t recall where…..

    Tamiya Paint mystery?

AI gives several options, including the answer I gave when we discussed this in September 😁. One I hadn’t seen before is that some numbers are considered unlucky in Japanese culture so may not have been issued. It’s as good a theory as any…….and I don’t think anyone really knows….

    SORRY🙄.

When you write your post there are three boxes at the top of the window you are writing in. The first one has a big B and a I for text editing, the second has bullet point icons, and the third one has three icons, a paper clip, a landscape, and a smiley. Click the landscape in that box and...

Anusha 1/10th scale bust, Pedro Fernandez Works

Great skin tones, just really excellent colouration. Very interesting sculpt as well. Just out of interest, what is the dot on her forehead?

    Andy's 1/48 Spitfire Mk1a

Looking very good Andy. Glad the scribing trick came in handy, must be years since I posted that one 😁. An additional wrinkle I’ve found is that after you apply filler go around any panel lines that have been obscured while the filler is still soft. You don’t need to clean it all out, but it...

    Andy's 1/48 Spitfire Mk1a

Looking really good Andy. Glad you are enjoying it. I have found recent Eduard kits as good as any I’ve built. I rated the Zero I made last year as the best kit I’ve ever built. You’ll love the decals…..they are as good as anyone’s. It’s worth finding out about stripping them as well, it...

Great to see this underway again. The work on the branch is outstanding. Totally believable.

Painting parts prior to assembly, yes or no?

I don’t think I’ve ever painted anything on the sprue, mostly for the reasons Andy has already given. I do, however, build sub assemblies, paint them, and then final assemble as required. In effect, I do whatever I feel needs to be done to make the job easiest and most effective. Certainly...
