Tank is good but this is the aspect of your work I enjoy the best. Probably because you're b****y good at it. Off to a fine start

Looking really good John. Love the texture you have achieved - the Soviets did not produce nice smooth tanks :) Look forward to the dio.

Boatmans 1/200 scale USS HORNET CV8 BUILD AN LIGHTS for the Doolittle raid on japan

Mask is a good thing - you'll certainly benefit. Your work always impresses me so definitely keep at it. That's true Chris. What you build, the scale, the complexity and the lighting, most of us wouldn't even attempt.

That's a quality build. A great looking model. Could easily be taken for a larger scale.

    Hello from an old newbie.

Welcome to the forum Pete. Join in and have fun. I have found Eduard kits to be generally very good although I have not built one of their 1/32 kits. I think the ME109 came out about 15 years ago so may not be up to their modern standards.

    Andy's 1/48 Spitfire Mk1a

Great choice Andy. Cockpit is looking excellent. These Eduard kits are mostly superb. CA is strange stuff. Often refuses to stick what you want it to, but get some on your finger and it's like chewing gum on the cat!

    Voroshalovitz tractor

Excellent. Love the little extra details like the faded writing and the tools.

    Steven’s 1/48 Spitfire Mk.IIa

Looking good. Pilot fits well after his surgery. Nice to see that you're making an "in flight" model.

Paul T's Spitfire mk Vc...... Airfix 1/72

Looking good. A silver Spitfire (y) Glad the fit is sorted. Sounds like the mantra of a builder we employed a few years ago!

    1/32 Revell 1956 Cadillac Eldorado

I have managed to get the body together. Fit was OK although most of the locating pins had to be removed as they were either too large for their corresponding holes or in the wrong place. Worst was the bonnet - needed lots of weights and left overnight. All parts mounted up for painting. The...

Painting parts prior to assembly, yes or no?

I never paint parts on the sprue. I like to dry fit and fettle parts before painting and as Andy says there's always a joining nub to clean up. I like to assemble as much as possible before painting but that's not always practical, then it's sub assemblies
